How it was written. From the way it's worded, the guy went into the review already disliking the game and preferring Fight Night.

I didn't even pay attention to the score, because it's so subjective. But the words written tell me another story.

Prizefighter definitely isn't Fight Night, nor does it try to be. It is very much a boxing sim and no where near arcade. If you button mash, you will lose 1-2 mins into the first round guaranteed. Just have to learn the game and give it a shot. It's not for everyone, but I like it.

Perfectly said Extreme Gamer..couldnt have said it better. It is not Fight Night period. It is also not game of the year. The game is not bad though.

OUCH! IGN gives it a 5 and Gamespot gave it a 5.5.

This is no coincidence or matter of bias. If this game is in the 5's on both sites. It sucks. plain and simple. Venom sucks and they should have never been given this gig. Looks like i'll be keeping my $60. When I see this game in the bargain bin for under $10 I might consider picking it up. No way i'm paying full price for a game that reviewed in the 5's on both IGN and Gamespot.

Every fight having multiple Knockdowns isn't sim.. The gamespot reviewer was 20-6 & knocked his opponents down a total of 124 times.. He was down 62.. You can make excuses all you want.. He sucks, or the dificulty was too low.. Either way that is TOO many.. & Stamina seems to be S*** like FN3.. Gamespot reviewer added that its like rock'em sock'em robots..

1) Have you actually played the game? It sounds like you are simply just regurgitating opinions that the so-called "experts" say. Gamespot is the holy grail of videogame reviews?

I am 10-0 with Wlad and have been knocked down 3 times and have knocked down the computer 28 times. That is about on par with early Wlad.

Thats about what I thought the magazines would give this game. I gave it a 7, but thats because I really like boxing so any effort to bring boxing to the 360 is appreciated.

But because there really isn't an ability to stick & move it does become like Rock 'em sock 'em robots. And typical fights will see each fighter dropped multiple times. However, that is my observation after only playing 1 day.

Now I did face a counter puncher that danced inside and out and gave me fits. I did end up ko'ing him in the 9th round but it was a good fight. So if I can find a way to replicate his movement, I will retract the Rock 'em sock 'em robots statement.
