You speak the truth. Boxer's Road 2 on the PSP is one of the deepest games ever.

There is another VB game on the PSP that plays better than Boxer's Road 2. If you have a PSP and love boxing games then both of these games are worth the import.

When was this game released? What is the name of the title, I would love to play it.

EDIT: Just found it. It is called "Hajime no Ippo Portable: Victorious Spirits" I am going to look into this.

Once unlock all Exhibition boxer, Victorious Spirit favorite game of all time for many reason.

Blocking system better than Boxer Road 2. Quick blocking in Victorious Spirit with sway still unlike Boxer Road 2 toggle where with block no sway.

Buy game recommend. Small bug in replay mode, but still second to none gameplay and edit tool.

Ring King.

You guys can laugh if you want. But Ring King had IMO the deepest "franchise mode" (for what it was worth- rankings, etc.) that I can remember playing. And it was incredibly fun.

I necessarily want to say that it was the best because it was really limited, keeping in perspective the platform that it was on.

But the way the rankings were set up, I wish every boxing game could be that diverse.

And I didn't need any known boxers. I just needed tons of boxers.

Knockout Kings 2002 was great as well- for its time of course.

Most text is Japanese. Some text is english like "Round 1" etc. There are translation guide for options screen on www.dynamiteglove.com

Two days ago I was ready to possible say Prizefighter*, but I have to go with the arcadey Fight Night 3. I had loads of online fun with this title but I hope they go in a sim direction for #4.

*Sluggish controls and judge's scoring are a major concern.

Yeah I believe there is a Japan version and a Asia version. I have the Japan version which is almost all japanese text. The Asian version has more English. But I am happy with my japan version. Interface text isn't too hard. I find my way through without problem. Still Asia version may be better for English speaker.
