WAAAAYY Too many knockdown in career mode

Alright I have already finished the game on medium difficulty but it got really easy down the stretch so I decided to replay the game on the hardest difficulty.

The result.....I have knocked my opponents down 54 times in 8 fights. Its stupid. I am not even going to continue with this garbage. Some of my opponents have gotten up as many as 9 times! If this is the experience the reviewers had, I am suprised the game didn't get a 3.

I guess I'll ty online, but I hear that everyone on there uses cheesy created boxers with STamina and dexterity maxed out because there is no need to have strength or stamina because you aren't going to knock your opponent out, nor will you get KO'd. You just need to beat your opponent to the punch, jab really because he who lands the most punches always win. Quality and power of punches isn't taken into consideration.


FN Round 4 can't get here soon enough.

Yeah I finished the career mode on medium with 40 wins 40 KOs.

Like I've been saying online is a much more realistic experience, out of 30 fights I have yet to run into a single cheeser. If you play anywhere between 8 - 12 rounds there IS a real possibility of being KO'd, so strength and stamina does matter. If you're playing a short 4 round fight, then no, and I don't know what else people would expect from that.

Did you see a flashback fight after the Eubank v Benn fight in your career. In extras is says that there is one.

edit, misread that. You mean if there's another flashback fight after that one? I don't think that there is, I think the Eubank fight was the last one.

Go into Extras it says there is still one that is locked. Did you beat Nigel Benn? I can't win that one even on Rookie. I can't win the Braddock Baer one either.

Are there any other codes besides Mayorga?

The classic fights are:

Braddock vs Baer
Baer vs Louis
Braddock vs Louis
Louis vs Marciano
Moore vs Marciano
Patterson vs Moore
Norton vs Holmes
Eubank vs Benn

I beat Nigel Benn, but only a few of the other ones. On the ones where you have to KO someone, just work your combos to build adrenaline then I use the LB+X signature punch to really drain them.

The other unlock code is "1BestBuyBest" for fight footage

No, I don't see anything still locked under classic challenges. Joe Louis I don't think can be unlocked, I haven't beaten all of the challenges, but I think I remember reading that he isn't selectable.

Did you get all the ones that he was listed above? Maybe you missed one during the career mode. Make sure that everything listed is also listed in yours.

Yeah, I've completed them all and it still shows one locked under Eubank v Benn.

Joe Louis I don't think can be unlocked,

Louis is unlocked when you beat him with Braddock.

I've got all but the Eubank-Benn beaten. Any pointers on this one? I can get him hurt bad but then never have the stamina to finish him off, then he'll get me with a handful of blows and I'm done.
eta: beat Benn by basically hammering with step in right hooks and then backing off to regain stamina.

I was wrong, I hadn't gotten the Braddock v Louis. I got that fight last night, but it looks like it will be a chore to complete. You can only use your right hand.

What type of punches are you guys throwing?

I got that one by countering him with right hooks to the body then to the head. You can follow those up with step in right straights if you have the stamina. Also try hooks to the body followed by uppercuts.

Update. I just went back through career mode on Championship difficulty.

I ended up going 40-0-0 with 39KO's. I knocked my opponents down 277 times! 6.1 times per bout. I was knocked down 10 times in 40 fights.

Now that I've gone through career mode twice, I won't pklay that again. Online is garbage with its no damage system and stupid scoring where a jab counts the same as a power shot and power shots don't do any damage and aren't tallied correctly.

Exhibition is the best way to play this game, but that gets dull after a while.

My final score after playing about 150 bouts...........4.5

Can't wait for FNR4.
