Arthur is getting better. He is developing the new style where it is the best of the Euro and American style. And he is a much better athlete than he is given credit for. He really tried to hurt Miranda tonight. Great fight.

I was surprised given the early intensity that Miranda showed and Arthur's very defensive mindset, but did the King ever explode. You are right Pavlik-Abraham has to happen, but Kelly's no Miranda. The Pavlik camp will plotting a body attack.

Pavlik, Arthur, JC, Kessler, Taylor, Haye, Wlad, etc...bunch of great fighters and potential for some freaking amazing matchups.

Yeah the HW division isn't anything to be excited about really, but the rest of the divisions are very interesting. The media needs to get with the program, but the boxers also need to start putting together more fights of relevance and stop chasing the big names. But, hey who can blame them when there's more money in the other route.

The biggest fight in boxing though? What about Calzaghe vs Pavlik, I think that's a much bigger fight personally.

Its very late in Miranda's career but if he would fine tune his style and tinker with it he could be ok. he should imitate Cotto. Hands high, bend over to get low, work the body, very importantly the sides/kidney area. If you can re-vist the fight, Miranda landed left hooks to kidneys at will. When Abraham went 'rope-a-dope' against the ropes, Miranda kept punching the head and hitting glove. He should take a page from Floyd v Hatton. Work the body, fight inside, make the fighter drop his hands so you can land those big shots.

Miranda's chin is not the issue, its his weak defense. When you punch with one hand the other should be in a defensive spot and Miranda almost never does it.

What a circus afterwords. Arthur's brother Alexander reportedly kicked Miranda while he was being treated by the ringside doctors. There have been conflicting stories but WBA/IBF lightweight king Nate Campbell said he and his wife witnessed the kick, with Nate calling it a "b!tch move". There were also rumors that Arthur Abraham was fined $100,000 by the Florida State Athletic Commission for failure to control his entourage, but apparently this has not happened yet.

So, so true. If boxing is dead, man, I'd love to see it when it's alive.

Problem is, the general sports media rarely looks past the heavyweight division. Klitschko is a fine fighter, but he's a drone like most of the Eastern Europeans dominated that division lately, and his performance against Ibragimov made watching paint dry look exciting.
