    Buster Douglas Boxing

An OS Roundtable discussion on boxing brought this game to mind. Anyone remember it? It was one of the first sports titles on the Genesis, and from what I recall, it was a very solid, impressive boxing game. Maybe I was blown away with the "next gen" graphics of the new Genesis, or maybe I was just really young and not caring so much for realism, but I dug it. The title is ironic and funny at the same time. Going back even before that - "Rocky", for the Sega Master System, was the answer to Nintendo's Punch-Out for us Sega players, also a game I remember fondly (I still remember when I finally beat Clubber Lang to move to the final level - Drago).

I remember Buster Douglas Boxing. It had about 5 boxers that all looked alike except for different heads and skin tone. It was created when he was fresh off his win over Tyson.

Rocky on the SMS was nice too but only had 3 boxers, Apollo, Clubber and Drago. If you got a 7 hits per second on the the speed back, beating Drago was cake. Other than that you had to stick and move to beat Drago.
