Many may say boxing is dying and it's not fun to watch any more, especially when you have to pay for many of the fights. Boxing isn't going to die anytime soon because you people who are always going to be watching for the next Big Thing. Many fans are looking for the next Tyson,Marciano,Sugar Ray,Chavez, etc; Believe it or not, virtual boxing is going strong even gaining a couple of fans wondering who is that guy I used or fought against in the game. Virtual boxing leaves boxing fans imagination open to matchups and being in control of a boxer or boxers destiny.

If 2K was to use Visual Concepts for another boxing game it would definitely drown that bad taste of a game Don King's Prizefighter Venom Games created. Visual Concepts has a good track record with games especially the NBA 2K series. NBA 2K is known for it's deep presentation and gameplay. I'm sure Visual Concepts would bring that same focus to a boxing game. I definitely hope 2K gives it another shot and this time use their in house designers. I'm sure fans would forget that other game 2K allowed their name to be put on. I love where the Fight Night series is going now,but competition brings better games. We saw how EA jumped out of nowhere with Fight Night Round 4 with all these incredible features.

I know I'd buy it. I bought Prizefighter for crying out loud.

Not sight unseen. Our best bet for another boxing game at this point is for the Victorious Boxers Engine to be turned into a Next Gen english version. That won't happen.

I just don't think that there is a big enough of a market for boxing games. Prizefighter sold 75,000 copies on the high side, it may have been closer to 40,000. Sad. Problem is, the game could have been decent with some fixes, but it never would have had a career mode.

A good sports seasons takes many years to develop. And as sad as this may be, even if a new sports company emerged, it would take years to get to the point where EA sports games are. So I would imagine a brand new boxing game would need at least 3 versions to get to where FN rd 4 will be. I just don't see a company dedicating enough resources both technical and marketing to make a boxing game a profitable venture.

I would buy it as well
NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.

Definitely. I still feel that Prizefighter could have been a decent game if it wasn't rushed out.
Never surrender, it's all about the faith u got
Don't ever stop, just push it 'til u hit the top
And if you fall, at least u know u gave it your all

I would. Prizefighter's sluggish controls brought it down-that and the scoring system.

i'd buy it in a second......I want a pure boxing sim where you have to fight according to the fighter you're using. Now either using an Ali or a Tyson yields the same results. No fun. There are so many things that can make a boxing game so awesome.....

hell I wish Money99 was a boxing game producer....we'd really be in heaven with his sim-minded approach

I want more than one game company to make a boxing game so the competition would push out better games each time.
