Im disgusted. Its stupid. How are u gonna impose a deadline? Just negotiate the deal. Im sorry but Hatton has no business demanding 50-50 when hes not even in the same league as Pacquiao.

Preach it brother. Hatton would get whooped all over the place by Pacman...I love how Mayweather played with Hatton for a few rounds and then knocked him clean into the turnbuckle, lol. Then out again like 20 seconds later. Hearing Hatton after the fight was priceless too: "He got lucky"

In theory this sounds good but Hatton is a MAJOR draw. When he comes here to fight, he always brings supporters and even a band lol. PacMan, as nice as he is, has not drawn Hatton like crowds. This payday would have been PacMans biggest, even with the split Hatton offered.

Hatton, who I am not a fan of, fills soccer arenas in his home country.

Hatton is a major draw in the UK. Not so much in the US and the rest of the world. His fight with Mayweather was hyped to no end as undefeated vs undefeated and turned out to be a joke fight for Mayweather. All Hatton wanted to do was try to bully Mayweather. And he got KO'd.

Pacman is now a huge draw because of the win over De La Hoya. Right now a Pacman fight would draw more than a Hatton fight. Together makes the most sense, but most people would be tuning in to see Pacman whoop Hatton...

I think the split of 50/50 was fair because Hatton would bring UK PPV dollars which would dwarf anything Pacman could to the table. Pacman was actually getting a fair deal considering. He should have taken it, made his money, and set up the mega bout with PBF. I hate this era of boxing...

Hatton was a big draw when he fought here in the US against Mayweather, Collazo, and Castillo. Hatton is the draw in this fight, no question.

We do not know PacMan's new drawing power until he in there against another not so well known guy and does crazy numbers. That has not happened yet.

Word is the fight is back on !!!!!

                  Pacquiao-Hatton megafight is back on

Pound-for-pound kingpin Manny Pacquiao phoned promoter Bob Arum early Thursday evening in Los Angeles and informed the Top Rank chairman that he had signed his contract to fight Ricky Hatton on May 2 in Las Vegas, reviving a megafight that seemingly had died a day earlier.

Pacquiao, who defeated Oscar De La Hoya on Dec. 6 in one of his most impressive and dominant performances, had been balking at signing to fight Hatton because he was not pleased with the 50-50 split.

Arum had been been frustrated with Pacquiao and hadn’t spoken to him in more than two weeks. Pacquiao also had not been taking calls from his trainer and close friend, Freddie Roach.

But Pacquiao reversed course on Thursday and agreed to the deal. Arum said he had to do something for Pacquiao contract-wise, but said “it is nothing that will hurt me.”

He said Pacquiao told him he faxed the signed contract to Top Rank’s office in Las Vegas and emailed a copy to the company’s attorney. Arum is in Los Angeles co-promoting a Saturday fight at the Staples Center between Antonio Margarito and Shane Mosley.

“When we get in and open the office on [Friday] morning, hopefully the contract is on the fax machine and we have a fight,” Arum said.

Hatton draws UK fans. The only reason he was a draw in the Mayweather fight was the fact that both fighters were undefeated. If Hatton was fighting anyone other than Mayweather, no one here would have cared. Collazo was the champ, and I think the draw for both fighters was equal. Castillo has never been a major draw, so sure I'll give that one to Hatton.

Numbers aside, Hatton isn't the best boxer and his record is not indicitive of an illustrious career. Sure he can fight, but when he's matched with fighters of Mayweather/Pacman caliber, he looks like Joe Schmo...

Heck, I'd love to see Cotto destroy the guy...

But right now, Pacman has more draw power than Hatton, imho...

Again, all sellout crowds for Hatton fights. And his UK following showed up here to the states. I don't care of Hatton's style but is he a MAJOR draw in boxing? Hell Yes. PacMan isn't there yet.

So you telling me Castillo and Collazo were the draws?

If a guy travels outside his home country and fans fly from his come country to see him fight, I call that major.

Who here would go see Mayweather in the UK?
