7 Footer Valuev vs. Holyfield this weekend

Holyfield's last shot. The old school Holyfield fan in me would love to see him win...and to take the WBA belt from the strangehold of Chagaev/Valuev...but Evander might just be too washed up.

The good news for Evander is that Valuev is much, much more stationary than Sultan was...so Evander technically has a chance.

    It is Saturday afternoon.

It is a $25 ppv only available on Dish and another company.

I am going to try and find it online as I have satellite.

Holyfield hasn't ever been the quickest dude mentally. I hope he doesn't keep fighting and end up totally braindead.

No mattter who wins, I hope that Holyfield does not fight after this.

Re: 7 Footer Valuev vs. Holyfield this weekend

After 3 rounds I have it 3-0 for Holyfield.
Not that it's saying much at this point. It's been a very boring fight.
Valuev has controlled the middle of the ring but I don't know if he's connected on one punch. He's thrown very little punches and what little he's thrown have been ineffective jabs.

Holyfield hasn't thrown many either but he's managed to connect with his left hook on the rare occasion he's let it go. And surprisingly the left hook has been there for him nearly every time he throws it.
He hit Valuev with a pretty good right hand over a lazy jab but the giant looked like a mosquito bit him.

I see this going all 12 rounds. If Holyfield can continue to give good lateral movenment and counter like he has, he'll win this fight easily.

Seriously, both fighters look bad, but Valuev looks the worse of the two. He's not doing ANYTHING.

P.S. The crowd is behind Holyfield bigtime!

End of 4. I think either fighter could have 'lost' it. I don't want to say anyone 'won' it because both fighters have been very inactive through 4 rounds.

Man am I glad this fight is for free on TSN2. I would feel ripped off I had paid $1.

I have no idea how the judges are seeing this fight. It always looks different from ring side than from the couch.
But in my book it's 50-45 for Holyfield after 5 rounds. Valuev is going to have to win the side if he's going to keep his belt. Otherwise, he'll be looking for a knockout.

I think I can say with all seriousness, Valuev has not landed one hard clean punch. He's only landed a handful of jabs to the chest.

Line of the fight: "Valuev will never win a bodybuilding contest. Boy does he look soft!".

Hahahaha! He looks terrible. His skin is so loose it's almost hyptnotic. He seriously looks like he lost 70 pounds to get in shape for this fight. Boy does he look horrible.

Hahaha. The commentators are going on and on about how out of shape Valuev looks and how ineffective he's been in this fight. It's like he doesn't want to fight.

Get ready for Holyfield to hold a belt for the 5th time as a heavyweight.

If anyone's getting annoyed with my posts let me know.

I think Valuev might have won round 6 but only because Holyfields trainer told him to take it off to get more gas. Valeuv finally threw a combo but he looks so ineffective.

Holyfield has a great jump in his step and is dancing side to side which seems to be confusing the champ.

5-1 Holyfield after 6. And seriously it could be 6-0 on some judges cards.

Wow! That could have been the worst decision I've ever seen!

Valuev had absolutely no right to win that MD.

This is why boxing will always have a black eye. There was obviously some paid-off judges. Ridiculous.

WOW...that was just a terrible decision, Valuev did not win that fight. But not as bad as Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Matt Vanda.
I wish everyone talked like Larry Merchant.
