I have to ask this question once again.....

This isn't the first time that this question has been asked, and it probably will not be the last, until it is answered. For any developers on the Fight Night team, have you ever played Victorious Road?

If this question has already been answered and I missed the post, I would appreciate if someone would direct me to it. From what I've seen, the question seems to be ignored anytime someone posts it.

I would consider Victorious Boxers the benchmark that must be surpassed to snatch the title of greatest boxing game. Its similar to Madden and 2k. Maddens a great game and very enjoyable to play, but....it aint 2k on the presentation side. Fight Night's a great game, but....it aint VB on the career side.

So, for the devs, once again, have you ever played VB? What do you think about the career mode in that game, and will the new Fight Night even come close if not surpass it altogether?

Oh yeah, and another note, I just ordered FN rnd2 and FN 2004, because If I recall correctly, one of those games had a dynamic career mode where your CAB boxers showed up in the ranks.

I'm about to compare rnd2, 2004, and rnd3 to see which one is really the best of the series.

If fight night round 4 isnt a universe above "Victorious Boxers" by this date and age in every way, its going to be a gigantic disappointment

I asked the producer Brian "Brizzo" this question before and he said, he has played it before.

Did he mention the career mode in VB? Ya know, did he think VBs career mode could be used now with the power we have in these new game systems.

TheCreep, I'm a huge homer when it comes to VB2 and it's career mode. It's almost too deep.

I'm being completely serious when I say that if FNrd4 can have a career mode even 25% as deep as VB2, I'll be happy.

I just want the ability to control my weight through diet and training, pick opponents and schedule bouts and see dynamic rankings where CPU fighters win and lose and move up and down the ratings.
That's a good start for a new team taking over this game.

P.S. One of the reasons why I traded in my 360 for a PS3 was that I'm secretly hoping that VB3 comes out in the next year or two.

The producers are very quiet about features and modes. They just don't want to give alot away too soon.

It would be sweet if the weights was set up like this in the boxer's profile...

              fight weight:
              natural weight:
              mininum weight:
              maximun weight:

Let's say you fight Middleweight 160...this may be how your profile looks....

              fight weight:160
              natural weight:164
              mininum weight:153
              maximun weight:175

We should also be able to edit our CAB's with these weights..

                Great ideas Shakyr!
But I would hope that you could still control your weight via diet and exercise.

Yeah, that's what I want too, If your fight weight is 160 you should try and maintain that 160 weight especially if you're a champ or contender.

I understand about not being able to release info, but in regards to VBs career mode compared to FightNight, the devs can give a very simple answer that will be more than enough. Just say something to the effect of "Yea, our career mode is going to be better than VBs hands down" or "Nah, we're not getting that deep this go around". No detailed info at all, but still answered the question effectively. Easy as pie.

These guys don't want to commit themselves to anything especially when they are in the fine tuning process. Some of the things they are hoping to add might not work to their liking and might not make the deadline.

I vaguely remember Evander Holyfield boxing. Oh, and if VB comes out on PS3, its a wrap. That game would be awesome I'm sure. So, which version of Fight Night do you all think is the better version?

I'm definitely going to have to go with Fight Night 2004, because it had ranking, your created boxers integrated into your career and no haymaker or parrying.

Boxers Road 2 had all that and then some......on the PSP. World and Country rankings, created boxers, making weight, training and diet and sparring. That game even had injuries.
