you should rename this thread "This is a perfect timer to boil eggs"
Once your water is boiling put the eggs in then immediately watch this fight. When Hatton gets knocked out your eggs are done.

i get annoyed when i read on other boards about Floyd not knowing what he's talking about or being a bad trainer. This loss is all Ricky. Listen to Floyd in between rounds, telling him to move his head, don't overpower him, keep your hands up. Then he says you should have been listening to me since Day 1. Its clear that Ricky just tried to be same old Ricky and didnt listen to anything Floyd taught him so people should stop blaming Mayweather Sr.

i'm still in awe after watching that again.....let's see. pacquiao vs. de la hoya. ko in 7. sent him to retirement. pacquiao vs. hatton. ko in 2. mayweather vs. de la hoya. split dec. in 12. sent him to pacquiao. mayweather vs. hatton. ko in 10. mind you, mayweather does have to get by marquez first. pacquiao couldn't knock him out in two fights. good luck, mayweather. i can see mayweather getting upset by marquez just by looking past him to get to pacquiao to get his "pound for pound" title back. marquez just might be motivated enough by losing two close fights to pacquiao and want one more fight with him. seeing that the winner will probably meet pacquiao anyways...that makes the mayweather-marquez fight MUCH more intriguing....

Yeah...I don't know how the rest of the PPV was, but that doesn't really make me want to get into boxing...

All these "superfights" lately have been disappointments from what I read.

Totally agreed. I think if Marquez can make the move up in weight without trouble, he could surprise people. The man just knows how to fight and I think people are underrating him against Mayweather. A third fight with Pacquiao would be great.

Which super fights are you referring to? The only one off the top of my head besides this one that was a major disappointment was the de la Hoya/Pacquiao fight.

                        Margarito/Cotto was great.
                        Mosley/Cotto was great.
de la Hoya/PBF was above average, imo.
                        Hatton/PBF was pretty good.
                        Vazquez/Marquez III was a classic.
Pavlik/Taylor I was great an II wasn't bad.

Maybe I'm forgetting a few but a lot of these fights were good.

It was obvious that this statement is correct. Ricky didnt do anything but try to impose his will with his hands down and he got owned. Between rounds with Sr. was telling him he was fighting the wrong fight, Ricky already looked beat.

Ricky is a one trick pony. That is it. He has no other style because his old trainer taught him that and nothing else. Its to late in his game for him to try to change. Ricky needs to retire. He's a decent fighter, but thats it. He wont ever be an elite fighter, he fought 2 elite fighters and it wasnt even close, its like a division 1 college football team going up against the 2007 New England Patriots. lol
