Is there such a thing as stick mashing?

I've been playing the demo all weekend and I've been reading everyone's posts about buttons vs. TPC. I like the TPC for the most part. However, regardless if you're using the stick or the buttons, if you're nice then you're nice. In the demo I threw 10 lightning quick jabs with Pac-Man with the stick. You can just punch over and over again with jabs and crosses. To me that's stick mashing! It will exist with both options. Bottom line - If you don't know about the sweet science, you're getting your a$$ whooped! EA bring the buttons back so that we have options and NO excuses when these L's start getting handed out.

Get ready for a pounding (pause) June 30th!

Stick mashing = alot of clinching...LOL.

Stick mashing mean you are all offense and no defense, which also means you are leaving spots open.

That and your stamina will become an issue if the guy you are fighting is just slipping those jabs/crosses and punishing you to the body.

That's where I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays online and on a higher difficulty. Most of the videos on EASW are stick-mashing knockdowns. Those guys won't be able to pull that off when their opponent is jabbing and avoiding.

        Should be fun.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.
