    Re: Official Slider Discussion Thread

I just used Juke's revised sliders....

I was Mosley and I went up against Ortiz. I beat him in the 11th due to the ref stopping the fight. The fight was great and I was only up a round or two on Ortiz at the point the fight was stopped.

He only tried to counter me 25 times, so that wasn't an issue.

The issue was he threw 49 haymakers. Isn't that a pretty high number? I mean we were going into the 12th though.

Other than that I might turn CPU punch output up to 1 or 2. Ortiz was really only throwing 35-40 punches around and I would like it to be slighty more....

.....but Juke you notice that with haymakers?

Just played on Juke's sliders again with two heavyweights. I was Tyson vs Frazier and it was a completely different fight. Frazier came out swinging and knocked me down in round 1. I regrouped and got him back in Round 2 and then finally finished him off in round 5. He was stunning me though and had me on the ropes a couple times.

I upped damage to max cause I want to see more stoppages.

Just went the distance as Robert Guerrero against Gatti and won a 97-92 UD.

          And here we go.

100-90 unanimous decision, me as Kermit Cintron over Miguel Cotto.

I'm getting really frustrated with this game!

Same in my situation on most sliders.

I see haymakers from CPU trying to counter my attack. But most I've ever seen is about 20. But on the average around 10, if you are controlling the bout.

Also I beleive that there are "auto" haymaker, some may not have notice but when you throw a regular cross, hook or uppercut depending on the situation the animation would change into a slower harder punch....I can confirmed this because n a match I havent thrown a single haymaker(rarely touch the RB button) and the final stats said Ive thrown 5 all match....either thats a glitch or im right about the "auto" haymakers....

Yea outside of the haymakers....your sliders are perfect juke. Even the haymakers don't bother me much. I guess I can just chalk it up to my defense. They don't connect on the haymakers, but I guess they connect on enough other punches that the CPU thinks it's worth trying.

Because Pro is ridiculously easy, but Champion is unrealistically hard.

                          At least for me.

Um, it doesn't get much more simple than the fact that there are 10 possible positions in which to put the slider with left-most being 0 and right-most being 10.

I have made one minor discovery.

The "counter happy" behavior I've found on Champion is cause by the CPU off awr and CPU def awr sliders. I noticed this when I took my Pro sliders (both sliders at 10) and just changed the difficulty to Champion. While the CPU was overwhelming with both on 10, he didn't sit back and look for the counter.

                              1) I'm fairly certain the CPU off awr slider has an affect on AGGRESSIVENESS. The higher it is, the more aggressive the CPU seems to be.

                              2) I also think that the wider the gap between off awr and def awr, the more the CPU will sit back and wait for counters.

Good stuff homie. Do you think it has to do with the fighter himself as well?...Cause in my legacy mode I come across a good variety of fighters, not every one is the same. Some guys are very aggressive and others sit back and fight a more cautious fight......
