2nd fight was a barn burner!

I fought Eddie Chambers with Tyson. In typical fashion, I took too many punches and got knocked down in the 3rd. I came back and knocked him down in the 5th and felt like I was getting in a groove.

I kept stunning him but couldn't take him out, while his relentless body punching kept draining my stamina down and down and down. I stunned him good in the 7th and pressed in on him hoping to end it. He hit me with one clean uppercut and down I went. Crap.

I got up on the 8-count! And 3 punches later, he was down for good. Knocked him out in the 7th round.

He was ahead 57-55 on 2 cards and 57-56 on the other. Unlike the first fight, where I held RJJ to 48% connect rate, Chambers hit for 61%. My connect rate was at 49%, which was about the same as my previous fight. I threw 444 punches and he threw 531, in about 6.5 rounds.

I'll have to keep going, these seem pretty interesting so far.

Punching power is WAY too high.

Just fought as Nate Campbell against Vinny Paz and we each had 2 knockdowns in 3.5 rounds. The counter is just way too powerful. I finally just quit the fight.

I gotta thank you guys for turning me onto GOAT though. I took my Champion sliders and put them on GOAT with both awareness sliders maxed and just had the coolest fight yet with Victor Ortiz vs. Augustus. Won a 96-94 decision in which nobody went down. I'm liking this so far.

I gotta thank you guys for turning me onto GOAT though. I took my Champion sliders and put them on GOAT with both awareness sliders maxed and just had the coolest fight yet with Victor Ortiz vs. Augustus. Won a 96-94 decision in which nobody went down. I'm liking this so far.

Very cool. I haven't tried your sliders yet on GOAT, but I did drop the power down to 7 on shaun's and have been having a blast with them. Finally won the belt in my legacy. (3 fights after I was told to retire.)

I used 8 on power just because I was tired of guys getting up five times. It got old quick.

You could also raise toughness a click it may offset some of the issues as well. Remember that Power is a ratio of about 1.25-1.4 to 1 toughness.

So should I go to G.O.A.T? I'm trying to coax more decisions, as I'm getting wins/losses by knockouts only; I'm 21(17)-10-0.

I've had 3 DCS's w/ those only coming in the 3 fights I simmed. I'd like to see more DCS wins since that seems more realistic to a Welterweight weight class.

Slider suggestions?

Yeah, my sliders I'm using now will need some further tweaking for GOAT, but theoretically you could take any set of sliders that any of us have done for Champion, including both of my sets, and use them on GOAT.

The big thing I'm finding is how the R.E.A.L. AI behaves. I've not only seen it give the CPU an advantage, I've now seen it give them a DISADVANTAGE. I hit Vinny Paz with a couple of counter uppercuts and rocked him early in a fight and for the next 5 rounds, he covered his face and GAVE ME all the body shots I could throw. I finally knocked him out because his stamina bar was shot.

I'm using a ratio of 1:1 right now and it's just slightly below where I want it. I think 7:6 or 6:5 Power:Toughness is just about right when you factor in the counters.

In fact, that's probably the single biggest issue. Initially, alot of us were raising power because we weren't seeing alot of knockouts. In reality, at least for me, it's because I wasn't countering enough. I'm knocking all kinds of guys out now, even with a 1:1 ratio, because I'm using the counter effectively.

I don't think changing difficulties is going to help with that. How many of your 10 losses are knockouts? I would say lowering Power and/or raising Toughness would make the most difference.

All of them. Every loss is from a knockout.

Yeah, I'd lower Power and/or raise Toughness. I'm also finding that fights are more tactical on GOAT over Champion, where the CPU tends to spam punches more.

I started w/ Parker's sliders, and have done some edits myself but still can't seem to coax a fight that goes all the distance.

Now Parker isn't even using the sliders he originally posted, and to find the other sliders I have to go back pages...? Why can't that creator just have his own thread like others do w/ other games.

While from an organization standpoint it might be nice, I think you'd find that a FNR4 slider subforum would be relatively unused. There's really about a half dozen of us that are keeping this thread going.

I've tried to keep up with everybody's posts and compile the sliders into a single file. Download this and see if it helps.
