WOW! This the first that I've heard of this issue. Is it safe to assume that if you were able to play the demo with no problems, that you should be OK with the full game??

I just bought the 360 version, but haven't opened it yet, but if this is going to be an issue and Gamestop has issues in returning for another system's version, then I'll just save the trouble and return it tomorrow for the PS3 version.

Again, is it safe to assume if you didn't have problems with the demo that you should be good to go with the full version??

Man this has me scared. I was planning on getting this tomorrow but the demo always froze on me when it got to the title splash screen. I could never even make it into the menus. I only have 360 so I'm kinda stuck. Even if I can pull out the ethernet cable what's the point? I'll be stuck without the online capability. Shame on EA for shipping this disc with this known problem..and I'm sure it will come up more than .05% of the time. That's just bull.

I was never able to get past the splash screen either. Sucks cuz I wanted to try the custom music feature. Now I dont know if I should open my ps3 version I just bought

I moved all my saveS to memory cards and reformatted. I am now able to play the game with the HD in. I am going to move and redownload the games in parts and test for issues.

I was thinking about doing that but I may wait for a patch. I can just disconnect the HD and play from my memory card for now.

Here is a post from the EA forum from sk88z:

The freeze issue seems to be an HDD related issue and specific files contained within. We are still investigating what it is about these specific files on specific HDDs as it is happening to a very small number of users.

What seems to resolve the issue for some is to disconnect your network cable and reconnect once you are past the freeze screen or reformatting your HDD (save game files to Memory Card)

If your are having a freeze issue, please send me an email with the following information:

Type of Xbox 360 - Elite, Pro or Arcade?

What dashboard version are you running on your console? Can be found in ‘System Info’

When did you purchase your console?

HDD Size

Remaining Space on HDD after the download

Connection Speed

Router type/Model

Wireless or Cable?

What time and date did this occur?

Do you have other games that freeze on the machine?

Troubleshooting

What is your Gamertag?

Where does the locking up occur? Title? Menu? Gameplay?

Does it always lock up at the same spot?

Does disconnecting the network cable help?

Does it still lock up without a profile signed in?

Maybe it's only with the 120GB HD? I'm on 360 and I still have the 20GB HD (never bothered to upgrade... maybe I should soon) and everything works fine for me-- no freezing at all and I've logged about 3 or 4 hours so far. Connected to Live and everything. Sucks that this little bug is there to begin with though, hopefully it's patched soon because judging by this topic that .05% statistic is BS

Looking around the net- its all HD types and all 360 types that had the demo issue. I didn't search any with the ps3 having the issue because i bought the 360 version.

You shouldn't have any problems then. Its a HD issue that is the same as the demo. You should feel fairly secure then.
