    Auto-train legacy

ok so i suck at the mini-games, for some reason i just can't get higher than +3 anyway even on the maize bag which i can do perfectly.. i can't get higher than 7450 don't know why

    but anyhows

for you guys out there in your legacies.. anyone do strictly auto-train?

how's your guy doing? what rank/ovr is he? do the other fighters badly out stat him?

    Re: Auto-train legacy

Im pretty ok at all of the games, I just never get higher than prospect...So now I auto train(want to breeze the top 10) And im basically rated the same as the guys in my ranking and most of the time im rated a couple points higher..The guy who's 74 is actually like 5 spots ranked higher than me but everyone in between me and him are rated like me....IMO, I think the auto train points is how the CPU progress, so Im not feelin like im missing out on points anymore....It all comes down to how much you train, I try to get atleast 2 sessions in(fight 3-4 times a year ala the CPU in my ranking range)

I stink at the mini-games too. I wonder why ea made it so hard.

Auto train for me. Not only are some of them too hard to achieve champion, they just aren't fun. I only do the sparring because I can spam that and get the champ status.

ya i think EA made the training sessions more important than the actual auto-train/etc whatnot

in my first legacy (gone now i re-made myself as a CAB)

i was ranked 19th and 68 OVR, fighting every single time i could meaning only 1 training session per fight

and by the time i broke top20 in my weight class, everyone was 5+ pts higher than me OVR and one was freakishly higher, Jermaine Taylor at 90OVR when i was only 68 OVR

lol anyhows i think now that i know things a lot better once i crack top 20 it'll be 2 training sessions per fight

Its actually kind of realistic becuz when propects start out, they are fighting like 5-10 times a year and then slow down as they get up there in rankings....but in real life its like a 1000 active pros in a single weight class lol

you do know that you can train more earlier than that. you just have to go to a day later on the calender when you schedule fight. im ranked 33 and i wait about 3 months between fights. gives me two sessions.

I can only do the sparring ones with any success so I auto train the other ones. They aren't very fun at all like thelwig14 mentioned.

My guy is a 91 overall and I just beat mike tyson for the heavyweight championship belt yesturday...

I train myself....im use to it now and training is easy for me. Use these tips...they will help you!

Go into settings and set boxer power and boxer speed to max. I went from bum to champ in one training session doing that. ********.

For open sparring set difficulty down to amateaur. I scored over 56.000 points doing that, over double what I needed for champ. Again ********.
Look at the post i made previously on this page for further details. But when trying to move the bag, the best way to do it is to hook..nothing else. You can cheat though and increase punching power and speed up the settings menu.
My tip to you is whenever you are about to train, put the difficulty on amateur, and increase punch power and speed. Than put the last 3 sliders for the cpu to zero. Makes drills alot less frustrating. Thanks to having like 3 fights a year, and having 3 training sessions per fight, my guy is now an 86 overall, and is the 11 length fighter. I could be higher but chembers and foreman are extremely high at a 92 overall. I dont wanna fight them untill im ready.
There is NOTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE that YOU can do to STOP ME.That is WHY they call ME UNCOVERABLE #85

                      Re: Auto-train legacy

They made most of the training games way too difficult (and, as someone else said, not much fun). I auto-train all of them except sparring, stay on your feet, and the bag push. Sparring is pretty easy to attain championship level. Stay on your feet can be very tough if they throw you in with a sparring partner who is much higher rated than you are (the CPU has an uncanny ability to score knock downs all of a sudden as the clock winds down). The bag push was tough in the beginning, but now I've gotten better. I still haven't attained champ status on the push, but I can get "contender" pretty much without fail.

The other thing I hate about the training games is that they gradually increase the point levels needed to attain each status throughout legacy mode.

Any tips for the bag push?? I normally max out on the all other ones, but keep getting bum/prospect on the bag push..

The most important thing is to maintain your distance. If you get too close to the bag, it'll start pushing back and you'll lose distance. Move forward gradually.

Timing is important, too. Slow down a bit...but don't go too slow. It's better to throw fewer quality punches and hit your spots than go for quantity and hit the wrong zones.

When I have to hit low, I use hooks almost exclusively. When I have to hit high, I like to use straight rights because they pack more punch than jabs and are still easy to throw. I usually triple or quadruple up with same hand when punching because doing so makes it easier for me to get into a rhythm. Don't neglect to mix in the other hand every now and then, too, though.

                            Re: Auto-train legacy

I've actually gotten pretty good at training. I made it a point to never auto-train so I had to get good at them. Sparring, Stay on your feet, and the Double end bag are very easy, with double end bag being the easiest to get by far. My advice is when going around from spot to spot, just simply hold up or down, depending on the way to go. The players move around the bag much faster than if you go try to go diagonally. Just veer inward as you get to the spot to make sure you're in front of the bag. I'm making it sound harder than it is, but trust me, it's the easiest one. The maize is pretty easy too, but sometimes i get careless on it and get hit or forget to punch. The trick to that is moving at least 2 times per bag swing, and on occasion i do 4. It takes a little practice, but again it's not very hard.

The heavy bags gave me the most problems initially, but I finally gotten a hang of those, but it took awhile. The combos is just pressing the button so i can't really give too much advice except try taking your time at first and as you get better speed up. But if you take your time, you should still get champion on it, you just can't afford a mess up. I noticed when i took my time doing the combos, i stopped making as many mistakes and helped me get better. Now I can do it pretty fast. As for the bag push, like mentioned earlier keep your distance and keep swinging. I get champion on every thing now, but i will mess up occasionally on the sparring believe it or not depending on my sparring partner, especially if they are a counter puncher and just sit back and counter every thing.
