The Judges Don't Have Their Own Minds
They all tend to side with the fighter who throws the most punches. Nevermind the fact that the one who throws the most may have a horrible connect %. My best friend and I go head to head. He believes in the volume punch theory and I believe in the box effectively theory. So, the majority of our fights he ends up throwing about 1,350 punches a fight and I throw between 750-800 per fight. his connect % most of the time is between 25-35% and mine is in the 60-70% range. Yet, after I knock him out and we look at the cards they have him ahead almost every time. Now, i'm not complaining about the win b/c a win's a win; but what if we have to go to the cards? Truthfully speaking...I hate the high volume punch strategy; not because it effectively breaks me down...but it makes it seem as though the other boxer is being more effective even though he may not be hitting anything. I refuse to play that way...i'll take an "L" before I get into that mess."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Tags: None -
Re: The Judges Don't Have Their Own Minds
Sorry bro but thats false.....Ive seen sooo many lop sided scorecards its just like real life lol
Also higher % doesnt mean you will win....
The judges does a great job IMO, just like real life they value head shots more than body shots also
if your opp throws way more punches than you did and you didnt take adavangtage of the many oppurtunities to counter, stun him or wear him down...you deserve to lose.... -
Re: The Judges Don't Have Their Own Minds
There is an "in game" help note that explains how the judges score the rounds. After reading it, I found it explained a lot issues I had with the scorecards. In short, it takes a lot in consideration for scoring the round, not just number of punches thrown.Comment

I'll def check that out and make some adjustments. By the way, I did take advantage by sending him to the showers via K.O. But, I was just speaking in regards to had the fight gone the distance."Dunks are tough, but when a 35 footer come rainin out the sky...it'll wire you up"Comment

I've seen an incredible amount of variety in the judges' scoring. Some questionable stuff, some solid stuff, but all in all, a VERY good simulation of real judging.Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment
