My opponent tires slower throwing punches than I do blocking them

That isn't right. I wonder if the devs ever watched Ali-Foreman. Foreman was dead after throwing so many missed/blocked punches. What's worse is I can hold down block low and my opponents still get credit for a hit. I never thought I would miss the parry system of FNR3. I may bypass this game, I don't know. I was really looking forward to playing the World Championship mode, but it's just not worth learning to cheese to win a title that's probably made of cheddar anyway.

You do know about the Block Meter?

I do, and I just realized if I held it down it doesn't replenish. Even knowing that, it is still frustrating an online opponent doesn't tire in the first three rounds until after about 30 straight punches. The body to the head tactic is no big deal, that's just boxing. It's just frustrating losing stamina even though you you block 70 percent of their punches and you don't miss many yourself. In my last fight I landed over 75% of my punches and I was just too tired because of lost stamina blocking.

You can't "hold" a block or eventually they'll get through. You have to block individual punches.

very true and also you can hold the right trigger without losing stamina but when you go up and down on right stick it takes stamina. dont waste your blocks or just hold a block the entire fight. you'll figure it out.

So what do you do when you can't get away and they are constantly throwing body punches? I will catch them from time to time and counter, but there isn't a big enough penalty for coming in on someone and body punching constantly.

I have caught several body spammers with counter UC's for a knockdown. Several switched tactics, throwing countless haymaykers and missing most. Problem is I have yet to learn how to deal with body haymakers. You can't dodge them and if you block it it still causes a lot of damage and takes away a lot of stamina. Even worse is guys get high foot speed, high stamina boxers strictly to body spam or body haymaker spam. Really sucks when you just want a decent fight.
