Game freezes upon loading.

About 2 weeks ago I downloaded the Fight Night Round 4 demo. It got to the loading screen and locked up. I turned the console on, tried it again and it locked up again. I tried it a third time and I got the Red Ring of Death.

Sent my console in and got it fixed in 6 days. I just bought Fight Night Round 4. Went to load it (the game not the demo) and it froze at the loading screen. I turned the system off and tried again, same thing. I'm afraid to do it a third time. If I see the Red Ring I think I will lose my mind.

I have the worst luck with consoles. I'm already on my 4th XBOX. Why won't this game load? I looked it up online but did not find any answers. Is anyone having this problem? Please help.

What worked for me when my demo would freeze up, is signing into my profile but being disconnected from Xbox Live. Once the demo started I could sign back in. A friend of mine is having similar issues with his retail copy even though he installed it to the hard drive. I've also gone through my fair share of 360s. It sucks lol.

Another thread with this problem. You are not alone. It seems to be related to custom playlists on your HD.

Delete any custom playlist, some say you can have as many as 30 songs, but anymore than that causes the game to freeze.

The game just randomly just started freezing at the title screen for me today. The demo would freeze also. Before I got the retail game, I deleted all songs on my hard drive and deleted the FNR4 demo. It had been playing fine for the past week, but today it freezes my system everytime it starts up.

Pulling the network plug works and I can login once it boots, but that really annoying. Hope it is fixed soon.

Pulling the plyug never worked for me - I was told that was some sort of error with the Xbox system communicating with Xbox live - apparently they recently changed the way it is done or something and microsoft is behind the times - have you noticed the dates on your save game files? Mine are a day ahead of what they should be, and I checked my system time, its correct, and set by xbox live...

Anyway, you probably havent noticed if your game freezes :wink:

I had to format my HDD. Since then it has worked fine. I would definately try deleting custom playlists first - but I dont think I had any that were that long on mine...
