    Secret to good looking CAB's?

Hey everybody, I was looking through the best created boxers thread and a lot of those boxers look absolutely amazing, it's really quite stunning how close some of these created boxers look to their real-life counterparts.

However I have a question, how are you guys making them look so good? I tried creating myself, using the upload photo's from easportsworld, and the result was just plain terrible, looks nothing like me at all. Granted I have no idea how to tweak it to make it look any better, and that's why I'm here.

Any tips to help make myself look better, do the bullet points have to be directly on the spot where it says "left eye, right eye" etc? I tried putting them as directly on the spot where it asks you to put them, but like I said, the final product was not very good. The eyes, chin and such were easy to nail, but the other one's were pretty tough, espically the side view ones, I couldn't really tell if the marker was where I wanted it to be.

I'm assuming if you guys are creating excellent versions of somebody else's face, then I'm sure you could make a damn nice version of yourselves, so I ask, what's the secret?

    Sorry for the long-winded post.

The quality of the picture and high pixel count goes along way. I am pretty decent but some of these dudes here in OS are either graphic artists or some need to consider becoming graphic artists.
Dios mio, por favor dame paciencia con estos jugadores que aceptan productos "glitchy"

I'm no expert but after creating many fugly boxers I'm finding a few tips that have helped make my last few great ones.

          1. start with a photo that has personality. smile lines/ furrowed brow/ facial hair/ smirk
          2. turn off eyebrows. your photo's real eyebrows are underneath.
          3. tilt the nostrils down on almost every CAB
          4. mark the edge of the "rose" of the cheek rather than where the face meets the ear
          5. in most cases "face up" slider helps
          6. my best CABs didn't require a side photo
          7. black and white photos work fine

I know I'm forgetting a few, but I hope that helps.

                twoheadeddog had some good tips
id agree that photos with the mentioned things like, wrinkles, lines on teh face, lines from expression etc are great and will make the face look more unique
i guess havin a high res pic is great, but also, the best cab ive made was max like 500 pixels and like he also said, only had the front photo and made it amazing (it was carl winslow btw)
                other than that, pretty random
i thought i had some PERFECT pictures and some of those cabs ended up horrible
ya gotta tweak the face without a doubt, subtle face architecture can make the biggest diference in if yer cab looks liek the real deal or not

If you weren't going to provide the guy what he was asking..why even respond? Quite frankly - yeah the friendly police are very upset.

I've read that changing the contrast and saturation of the images help, even though I haven't had much success making anyone.

lol. well there was this magical button that i could click that would allow me to reply. I felt so powerful. I guess with great power there's great responsibility. *que sentimental 'lesson learned' television tune*
