stupid glitch ruined my legacy mode!

There's a ****in glitch that ruined my entire legacy mode. Right before my fight with Malignani or w/e his name is at Welterweight, the champion e-mailed me asking me for a challenge. So I accepted and scheduled the fight two weeks after my fight with Malignani. And I guess that was a glitch since now when I try to fight Maligdani (either through simulation or fight) it won't let me. It just shows the little window that says simulating... then stops and gives you the four options of continue simulation, simulate through ESPN fightcast or w/e, fight, or stop simulation. None of them allow me to get through to the next day. This is so gay because I was just about to reach the title and my boxer was only 26 years old and was already going to be the champion. Anyone else get this glitch?

So if someone challenges you in the middle of your preparation for an upcoming fight, DO NOT ACCEPT IT UNTIL AFTER THAT FIGHT!

Yeah, this has been documented in another thread. It's too bad that they didn't give you a way to get out of it without having to start your legacy over.

That being said, IRL would a boxer accept another match when they already have one scheduled? NO.

i don't get why you would schedule a fight 2 weeks after another fight, knowing you have to take at least a month off to recover when you fight.

I ran into this bug as well and posted about it on this board. I will tell you why I scheduled a fight so soon after one I already had: I assumed the game wouldn't get locked up by this and would give me the option to cancel my previously scheduled fight. Fighters will cancel fights against you without giving a reason so I figured I could do the same in this situation in order to get a shot at the champ. At the very least I expected some sort of pop up that would tell me I couldn't fight the champ because of my scheduled fight. I certainly didn't expect this bug. Anyways, that was my thinking when I ran into this bug.

            Fool me once...

You should always have two Saved spots for any given season / career in any sports game.

If something happens and it get's messed up, you can fall back on the other, even if you have to back up a fight (or game).

Totally understand where you're coming from. While it's not necessarily realistic to schedule a fight 2 weeks after another, it also shouldn't make it so that you can't continue the game.

You should have the option to take a championship fight and cancel your other, and take a popularity hit or something.

I haven't been on the forum for a long time...and I found this out last night...the hard way I tried everything. Basically the only thing that worked was retirement, but then it ends your career anyway. I won't take any challenges with a scheduled fight from now on.

It seems EA missed the boat when it came to canceling fights. Big surprise.
I think my approach will be to wait out the recovery period before scheduling a fight. Once scheduled, decline any offers.

I wouldn't exactly say decline the offer. Just wait until after the scheduled fight before accepting.
