to a certain extent you're right, but my biggest point was there shouldn't be a 'counter window' at all. It really shouldn't be there imo and the game would be a lot better without it.

Another thing is, that the AI takes advantage of it too. You can too easily get countered off of a jab. you jab and whiff and get hit with an uppercut that sends you reeling. After that, sometimes you have to just play defense and counter to get back into the fight because the counters are overpowered. It's just a bad gameplay mechanic that wasn't necessary at all.

I agree that it sucks as a "feature" and the game would be better off without it.

However, a combination of good slider settings and playing the game "correctly" (for lack of a better term) pretty much nullifies the problem in my opinion. Far from a game killer, at least for me.

lol. It was just a simple question. I was playing the demo and noticed it was very easy to do this and was just wondering if the full game on higher difficulties if it was the same before i went out and purchased it. Why are people on the internet such dorks and get all bent without being able to answer a simple question. First guy who responded was cool. Thanks for the answer. The other two not so much. Just answer the question. Do you really care that much why i asked?

As for being broken, I have to say that offline seems fine to me. At championship level I can work the jab and straight to pretty good effect, throwing the uppercut in the rare case I get an opening.

I haven't tried online, but I'm sure it is just as screwed as UFC was. the lag in UFC kills it, as do flash KO's. FN, I guess, has the punch spammers. It's the same as in most sports games---the cheesers kill it.

Man, why does everybody keep talking about championship mode? Put that **** on GOAT and box it out. Oh yeah, and max out CPU off/def awareness, and tweak some of the other sliders if you really want to get it in.

I might consider offline only. Online has gotten me to the point of returning the game.
