Why Does It Take 15 Headbutts Before A DQ?

In ranked matches it seems that when your back is against the wall, you do your best Zidane impersonation. In just about all of my wins, i have been a victim of a headbutt at least 4 times a fight. And then in my DQ wins, the total is easily 10-15. It is just too many. Three, 1 point deductions before a DQ is ridiculous. But here is the icing on the cake. A very tactical, SIM fight heading into the final round where i was up on the cards was about to take a VERY bad turn...

We both have our health meters down to where one solid punch will have us both woozy. What does my opposition do? Headbutt follow by two quick jabs and next thing you know i'm picking myself up off the canvas. I get up, block about THREE more headbutt attempts before another lands, i'm woozy and after the quick jabs i'm down again. This is clearly grounds for a DQ. It is horse crap.

My request is that the headbutts see DQ's at a higher rate that way it is not an escape and/or alternative to a haymaker. Maybe it gets fixed in a patch, maybe not. That is just my .02 and the end of my rant.

In my experience 3 is the magic number, but I agree that it should be tuned to stop it from being so effective. For example, maybe making it a much more serious infraction while stunned or give the risk of losing their balance and falling over unhit. I doubt there's many who could pull off a disorienting move like a headbutt while being so woozy. Additionally, they could make it so you get one warning first time, then a DQ if they do it again at any point in the next 3-4 rounds.

It's idiotic that they put headbutts in the game to begin with. All it does is it invites abuse. A the very least they should make it an option you can turn off online.

For me it's usually first point deduction on the 3rd foul, 2nd on the 4th, and a DQ on the 5th. What the guy did towards the end of the fight was pretty dirty though.

The intentional headbutts are a terrible idea. They should of had a auto accidental headbutt animation in certain rare situations. But not have it assigned to the controller for the user to use.

This was one of the VERY FEW things FN4 did wrong this go around....

yeah this is really my only issue with the game. the stamina doesn't really bother me that much.

I agree, this is friggin annoying. I get headbutted at least 5-6 times a match, and always as there about to go down, or when my health is low they headbutt me then hit me with a few jabs to knock me down.

3 or 4 should be the limit before they get DQ. NOT 10-15. I don't understand why this and haymakers are in this game. No point, just like someone else said, there their for abuse. We can do without them.

And the thing with headbutts is that they cause damage like cuts. I can't count the number of times where I was winning the fight until I got elbowed and had to devote my points to damage instead of stamina. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't able to heabutt twice in a row. If the headbutts/low blows are allowed, make it so that they have to be snuck in subtlety with a combo. I can do without them though.

                      FN3 actually had elbows......elbows!

Too complicated for some of the people that play on online - it takes two button presses instead of just one.

the new trend online seems to be headbutting when you're about to go down. It's too effective at stopping you in your tracks when you're about to lay someone out. It gives them a few precious seconds to get away and get out of the stunned state.

What's terrible about the headbutts is a guy will go the whole fight and not do it until the end. I had a guy last night, back and forth it went. He was beaten. I knocked him down twice, he knocked me down once. However, in the ninth round we were both drained, him more than me, but he stunned me with a headbutt. I went red and he knocked me down and I never got up.

The guy had the nerve to send me a message, "Good fight, sorry it had to end like that."

His record was 62-4. You want to talk about frustrating. The Figh Night team paid zero attention to how easy it is to exploit this game online, and if they don't address these issues, this game should lose the high reviews and level out around the 6.5 to 7 mark.

                              LMAO!

This reminds me of a fight I had last night. I was fighting this dude and I was basically beating him the entire fight. I knocked him down twice, but towards the end, my health and stamina was low, and so was his, but he had Marvin Hagler (who has a chin like granite).

He had already headbutted me a few times in the fight and got a point deduction. In round 10, he tried to headbutt me again, which would have basically won him the fight. I blocked it and headbutted him. He goes in stun mode, and I knock him out. I didn't wanna do it, but I had to.
