    Casual Sim FNR4 League

I am putting together a FNR4 casual league for both systems for people who play the game in a realistic fashion. The setup is over at forums.maxboxing.com and is comprised mostly of knowledgeable boxing fans.

Here is the league info. If you would like to join send me a PM here, contact me on AIM [mexicutioner621] or join the boards and sign up in the Gaming Forum. My handle over there is Dynamic Hispanic.

Here is the idea behind the league and what I think we can build on. We run tournaments on each system in each of the eight different weightclasses with each of us having control over 8 fighters each (if you prefer, you dont need to have all 8).

    Tournament Structure:
Tournaments will determine the champions of each division, and then also the order of the rankings once the tournaments are over. The #1 contender spot will be left vacant and the rest of the spots will be filled based on best finish. Ties will be broken by type of loss sustained. For instance, the two fighters that lost in the semi-finals would be placed #3 and #4 based on how they lost. If one fighter lost a decision and the other one got knocked out, the one who lost a decision would get the higher ranking. The #1 contender spot will be determined based on a fight between the #2 and #3 guys.

Based on the number of participants, the tournament will be formatted differently. If we get 32 heads, we could run the first couple rounds with 8 round fights, then the next few in 10 rounders, with the finals being a 12 round title fight. Fights that occur in the tournament will affect your fighter's official record.

    Scheduling Fights:
At any point during a week, you may schedule up to TWO sanctioned fights per fighter. This will help make it easier to keep everything organized and not allow anything to get out of hand. You must report which fights are sanctioned in the separate forum "FNR4 Schedule Fights" thread which will be created upon the beginning of this league.

    Rankings:
Rankings will be updated at the end of each week and will be determined based on results from the previous weeks' action. The rankings will begin as soon as the tournaments to crown champions and will be based on where you finished in the tournament.

    Title Shots:
Mandatory title shots against the weight's #1 ranked fighter must take place at least once within a calendar month of winning the title or defending your title against the previous mandatory challenger. Optional defenses can be made against anyone in the Top 10 and non-title fights can take place against anyone ranked lower than that in a ten-round capacity. All title fights will be twelve rounds. Eliminators will be twelve rounds as well, with all other fights being ten rounds. If a mandatory challenger is not met within 30 days, the champion will be stripped and a fight between the #1 and #2 fighters will determine the mandatory challenger.

    Other:
Each fighter is part of that user's "stable" of fighters. If you are playing ****ty with one fighter, you can retire him and run with a new fighter as long as he is in the same weight class as the fighter you removed. He will start at the bottom of the rankings with a fresh record of 0-0 and can escalate up the rankings a little quicker than a worn-out journeyman would.

Things you need to write down after a fight:
Scorecards, even if there was a stoppage. You don't need to record the round-by-round unless you would like to, just the official final scores at the time of finish of the bout. This will help determine rankings based on common opponents and other information that real sanctioning bodies would use if they weren't so corrupt. Official results will be kept in his main thread and will help compile fighter's records and have a source for checking that information.

    Official League Fight Rules:
This is a "sim" Fight Night Round 4 league, meaning I hope we all are people that hate cheesers and try and fight a way a real professional boxer would fight. We can discuss the "rules of the bout" we would all agree on in further length to determine if you want an accelerated clock down to 2 minutes a round or if you want to be able to be saved by the bell, those kinds of things.

For now, just voice your interest in this league and/or if you would be willing to help out with it.
