Re: Who else HATES the new "getting up" system?

I've seen many people get up 4 times, maybe once even 5. I wish you could practice it somehow cause I've lost so many fights I was leading in at frist because I didn't know how to do it properly. You just have to ease your way into getting up instead of pushing the thumbsticks all the way left/right and up/down...

LOL at having it set up on AUTO, that would be so frustrating. It's just incredibly difficult to get up when you health and stamina is completely drained. You guys will get it right eventually with more playing time.

I just hate how predictable it is. If you get knocked down early in the fight, you WILL get up atleast twice. If you get knocked down late in the fight, you WILL get up atleast once.

I would like for the "heart" stat to actually matter. Classic fights like Pacman-Marquez or Corrales-Castillo just can't happen in this game.

The new system is ugly & arcadey, just like the old one. I hate them both.

Ditto with the training games, although I prefer FNR4 training games to the FNR3 ones...

Espicially the training games!!! I can't wait until meters & flashing icons are a thing of the past.

i hate it too. rarely have i been able to get up a third time...but the game is all that so i still haven't been able to stop playing. i believe my favorite system was the one from k-1 grand prix for ps2...a scrolling marker you had to get in the green(middle) area...the more hurt you were, the faster it moved. simple yet effective. anyone remember that and liked it like i did?

There must be some trick I just am not getting. If I slowly move the left stick right/left I can get it into the green, but within an instant of me trying to slowly go up on the right stick, my boxer will just flop right over.

I am talking about trying to get up on the 2nd try here. I have only done it once, and I am sure it was pure fluke. Basically I know that if I go down twice the fight is over and that's pure garbage. I either need a couple of more tips, or they just need to tweak it. Also, I know that about 90% of the people I knock down twice don't get up either. Not realistic and fairly unfun (note: yes that word is made up).
