Same reason there aren't any flash knockdowns where the fighter isn't hurt. Some knock downs are simply due to momentum of the punch and the imbalance of the guy getting hit, and he's not hurt at all.

lmao, but there ARE flash knockdowns where the fighter isnt hurt. And I have had fighters low in health and caught them with counter body shots to know avail. Lol, Im not sure you know what you're talkin about.

No, what I mean is when u get knocked down because u were off balance and when u get up, your health doesn't have to restore.

The problem is that the game doesn't do a good job of simulating depletion/damage.

Head = health and body = stamina. If your opponent is depleted, then body shots will also deplete health. That's why it's possible to score a knockdown from a body shot when the health bar is low or your opponent is stunned.

However, because body shots draw from stamina first, you can't score a body shot flash knockdown.

This is incorrect. I've knocked a couple guys with a full health bar down with haymakers that land flush.

Body shots aren't usually knockdowns anyways, they usually make the boxer wobbly, then a punch to the face is what knocks them down.

Im positive that it is physically imposible to get flash Knock Out(UFC2009 style) by a body shot......Flash KO's happen becuz of the brain....

Knocking him down from a body shot and him struggeling to get up is a different story

but a Flash KO from a body shot dont make sense, but im no doctor.....

I consider a well placed liver shot that causes you to crumple to the ground in a heap and you cant move anymore to be a flash ko. you wont be out cold but you might as well be cause you wont be getting up.

Also, a poster above is correct, you cant get knocked down without getting hurt. I know everyone thinks a flash knockdown off of a random shot is the same thing but it isnt. You have 3 times to get up from a knockdown. If you score a flash knockdown, regardless of the punch, thats 1 of your knockdowns. You never go down for being off balance and momentum taking you to the ground, you go down because the game says your hurt. I know you can get right back up on the count of 2 if its the first time but that doesnt matter. It would be that way if you took 1 good shot or 100 good shots. The first tme is always easy. The second time is still kinda easy. The third time is pretty hard. the fourth time is usually impossible.

Thats all there is to it. You go down 4 times, you lose. Perfectly timed haymaker knocks me down the first time, Im up by 3 guaranteed. A jab causes me to fall the 4th time, I cant get up.

4 times? Try twice! Getting up needs to take into account HEART, otherwise why even have the stinking attribute in the first place? Getting up in this game is largely predetermined, like you said, but it's also affected by damage. If you're knocked down in the 8th, with 25% health left, you're not getting up on a 3 count.

I can always get up twice. Im getting better at 3 but its not automatic by any means.

I still feel that I could get up by 3 on my first even if it came in the 8th after taking damage the whole fight. I doubt I will ever know for sure because I usually wont make it to the 8th knockdown free. My style leaves me open pretty often so I get knocked down plenty. I usually win by ko but I certainly hit the canvass a fair share of the time.

I've had instances where my health was full, but took a well placed uppercut/haymaker to the dome and gotten knocked down.

But like you've said...in real-life a similar shot could spell doom...however in the game all this does is subtract from the amount of "lives" you have. Depending on where you've got Boxer Toughness and where your HEART attribute is will determine how many more "lives" you've got in that match...

Before you call me incorrect and laugh at me, it helps to read to see EXACTLY what I was referring to. In REAL LIFE boxing, a fighter can get knocked down without getting hurt. On the GAME, there are flash knockdown when your health bar is full. HOWEVER, when you get up from the knockdown, you are clearly hurt. Also, the way your fighter falls from the knockdown shows that he is pretty much out of it. On this game, they do not incorporate the fact that a fighter can pretty much fall because he was off balance and got hit at the right time.

thats not true, I knocked a guy out once in the 10th round, and he didn't get up. And I also have been knocked 5 times in a fight and gotten up.
