Legacy trick/cheat for those interested in maxing out power/stamina after tourney

If you don't want to use it, don't. Please don't flame those that do. jojo told me this one, so credit to him.

This would be helpful to those that want to play the Ali's and Ray Robinson's before they retire and scale the rankings in a hurry.

After you with the tourney the pop up says +5 left and right hand power, +5 stamina, +5 heart (I think). Hit A for XBox 360 and advance to next screen. At next screen hit B (circle for PS3 I believe). When you go back the pop up will be there again, giving you the +5's. You can do this until your attributes are 100 in the above areas, which will allow you to train on other things for the first ten or so fights and build up speed and chin without worrying about power, stamina, etc.

I just wanted to pass it on.

    Crazy...

Definitely going to try this. I'm in the middle of a light-hitting legacy, because I can't get enough points in training. I'm going to try this and put out a beast of a fighter early on in his career.

It's not like this isn't unprecedented in the real world, take a look at Tyson in his early days....

      Nice justification...

But the thing is you go up in the ranking so quickly that is doesn't really matter. In ten fights you can be ranked 20.

Nice. This way I could put out a real Tyson and try to duplicate his career, early on of course.

Yea...that has happened to me w/ my first welterweight fighter.

He's now ranked in the 20's but is like a 72/73 overall while any opponent ranked above (and most below as well) are well into the high-70's, 80's, and up.

This could be a good way to up some stats. I don't know if I'd get it up to 100, but into the 80's would be cool.

              Nice find...thanks.

Re: Legacy trick/cheat for those interested in maxing out power/stamina after tourney

Im definately trying this out (probably wont stay with it since playing the computer is so boring) cause thats the way things should be.

Many games still dont understand the principle of "dont make us work for what should just be given". This reminds me of Madden 06 when I was shocked to find out in Franchise mode that if I wanted to see the scouting report on for the players in the draft, I had to get a Gold trophy in the respective minigames. I was like "WTF!?! DO I NOT HAVE SCOUTS ON THE PAYROLL ANYMORE?!"

This is the same thing. Look at real life. Blake Griffen can dunk the damn ball right now. He doesnt need a few years in the pros to develop his vertical.

Fight Night suffers from the fact that most of the stats in this game are physical attributes that should already be pretty high but then what would they make u train for? They need more stats that relate to knowledge of the sport. Head movement, punch accuracy and footwork were good starts but we need more. When you get to the pros, you shouldnt have too much phyisical progression left to worry about. You should be refining your abilities to best take advantage of your physical gifts.

Think how rediculous it is if you were to consider the ratings of the low ranked fighters vs the top contenders. 1 person has most of their physical attributes in the 60s while the other guy's stats are mostly in the 90s.

And I am very disappointed that this game still doesnt understand that minigames are a terrible idea in the long run. Minigames have only 2 functions. They either educate or they are the fun change of pace to the general action. Fight night minigames arent a change of pace since you do them every fight, they are the general action just as much if not more than fighting people. They certainly arent educational either. They have no point other than to give you a way to boost your stats. All progression systems based around minigames always wear thin. They are usually too goal oriented and it makes no real world sense (So i cant get stronger if i dont hit the damn heavy bag a certain distance down an arbitrary track?) and they are always tedious over time. I know I can auto train but that only gives u up to 50% of the results.

I would much rather spend 10-15 mins designing a training regimen for my fighter that I can change as I go if I wish (college hoops 2k8 style). Also doing this fosters a much more realistic apporach to the progression and regression of stats. In this instance your punching power might decrease if you werent strength training enough, or your footwork went down cause you didnt spar enough. The point is, I want to design a regimen to an equilibrium point. If I decide to focus more on an aspect and therefore take hits in another then it is my choice, not just arbitrarily thrown upon me. What reckless training camp will focus so much on one thing that you regress in another thing every single time?

Im done venting for now but I was really hoping Rd3 showed the team how boring and tedious minigame training was and I prayed they would leave it out this year....

Re: Legacy trick/cheat for those interested in maxing out power/stamina after tourney

                    Krucialist - Well said.

I too think the training gets mundane after awhile. There should be a given amount of pts that you can allocate to your created LEGACY boxer's attributes so that, rather than use a glitch like this to simulate a Tyson-esque fighter, you can already have a hard hitting bruiser that just needs to increase stamina among other attributes.

Another way to simulate Tyson would be to gradually increase the slider difficulty from the weakest to champion as you progress through your Legacy.

With training I'm not particularly good at the:

                    -Stay on your feet
                    -Heavy bag push
                    -Combo Training

All the others I can more often than not get Champion everytime. So I simulate the training for the three above, and it's been working out for my current Legacy fighter (Johnny Alvarez) who is 6(3)-0-1.

I would've prefered the ability to allocate pts upon creating my legacy fighter and then had to train in areas where I was low in.

It would've also been nice to perhaps get attribute boosts upon moving up in status, from prospect to club-fighter etc. Or perhaps an attribute boost given performance in your last fight.

At what point in your legacy career (age?) do you start to regress?

This is one cheat I WILL be trying. Things like power, chin etc are no things that one should have to build so dramatically during their career. I've always disliked that about the legacy mode.
