The place the buttons are going to help me the most are training drills in legacy. Now I should be able to pull off those combos.

If face buttons are used online, count me out. That's adding to the cheese in my opinion. Im glad they added more fighters though, that will make Legacy mode even more sweet....

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Title Update/Patch and DLC

After playing several times today, Ranked and WC modes, with the new patch, I have come to the conclusion that the stamina fix does not effect matches with created fighters in them. In WC mode, the patch is not even recognizable. In ranked matches, with real boxers vs real boxers, the patch works great. In ranked matches where I used my created guy vs a real guy, the patch is not recognizable.

When working, the patch makes the game hilarious. I fought a guy that used Old Foreman and I could tell he had a WTF moment because his punching slowed down dramatically. However, whenever I use my created guy, body spammers DO NOT fatigue.

Re: Fight Night Round 4 Title Update/Patch and DLC

The first few games I played, I thought I saw improvement. I just fought a body spam cheeser who ended my 20 game win streak. I took it to the 10th but he was ahead a few points on every card.

It seems the punch speed is much faster now, which negates the faster stamina drain. anyone else notice this?

Are the boxers available for the PS3? I tried to buy the pack but it is unavailable and the boxers are locked. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

I dislike how the game is now unbalanced. There is no doubt that you can throw haymakers more accurately and quickly with button punching. I like the "next gen" feel and simplicity of TPC but I hate knowing that a button puncher can throw haymakers faster and more accurately than me.

Haymaker hooks are definitely easier to throw - TO THE HEAD.

Haymakers to the body are absolutely easier using TPC. And haymaker body punches were the problem all along.

It's easier to beat spammers, but the stamina is still broken. I was reading on the EA boards and they made the comment that the "logic" in punches was tweaked so that if you throw the same punch over and over, it loses its strength.

That's just the wrong thing to address. It should simply be that if you throw punces continually you gradually slow down until you are too winded to fight.

The patch is a big let down for me.

I sat here and waited and waited for the patch and they STILL don't understand the simple concept of "throw 300 punches in a round and you won't be able to lift your arms"???

I wonder if game companies think all of these games are for primarily children?? Fixing stamina would cheese-proof the game, maybe they're afraid of scaring off the cheesers and 10 year olds??

Leave an "arcade" mode for unlimited punching like many Fight Nighters like and have a "SIM" mode where the stamina slider WORKS!

Is this really that hard, how many years, how many games, how many sports will they refuse to add a mode that caters to the adult sim gamer??????

So what about the stuff concerning legacy mode about scheduling fights? Is this fixed?

But you still prove my point: it's unbalanced. I know some people hate TPC and some hate buttons.

I hate that a control configuration provides a noticeable advantage one way or the other. Now the matches are not fought on equal footing.

Is it fair that button punchers have better accuracy?

Don't get me wrong, I love FN4. But I hate that this creates an uneven playing field.

I guess I'm late to the debate, so I'm kind of at a loss for whats going on here, but.......I'll respond to this latest post.

How does a control configuration provide an advantage?
How do button punchers have better accuracy, and TPCers throw body blows easier? I dont get it.

Using buttons or using the sticks, what difference does it make? The outcome is the same. If someone is good at the game using whatever control preference, I dont think anyone has an advantage man.

Are people complaining about it being difficult to throw body punches with the buttons or something? I dont see why, folks asked for the button config, they got it, whats the discrepancy now?
Folks always find something to riff about, lol.
