Just Knocked out #9 heavyweight in OWC!

He was surprisingly fairly sim. He didn't body spam at all, he just tried to time block. I've never seen this before, but when I would bob and weave he'd do one right after me and if I threw a punch he'd get a counter every time. A new cheese tactic.

Also, the new belt holder (360) is someone random, out of the top 100. I wanna get my shot.

I just played the #4 ranked guy, JapanNumba1Son. He's a total body spamming bum. He has a ridiculous massively wide head and huge chin. Stay away from this guy, complete cheese master. No clue how to box, but he can spam with the best of them. I'm now 191-33 fighting sim, but guys like this just ruin the game. September's online stamina patch can't come fast enough.

Body spammers to me have become the easiest to beat. Because it is easy to time a block counter. Just hold RT and flick down on the right stick when the punch is about to land, then BOOOOM big counter. They quit the spamming pretty quick.

Now guys that spam and mix it up. Totally different story.

I don't understand how that's cheese. He probably just locked into you having a weaving pattern. You probably could've double weaved and caught him. Good job on knocking the dude out though lol.

Pappy, you should know EVERYTHING is cheese now a days :wink:

The thing is, he was just trying to counter and would only throw in spurts. He would stand in front of you and try to time block or would weave a lot without throwing much. I crushed him with head/body combos and haymakers to the head.

After the match he was fuming mad. He kept sending me messages calling me a button masher and calling me names. I'm more sim than 99.9% of people online.

feels good beating someone of that caliber. just yesterday, I played a guy who had a record like 190-8. he got foreman and I got Lenoxi and I beat him.

he was doing something really weird with his punches and he claims I won't because "his controller wouldn't punch" but sounds like a personal problem to me..

I don't see the weaving technique as cheese. It's actually pretty good stick skills IMO. I've seen certain computer opponents in my legacy do this to me and it's very frustrating because if they are really good at it, you could find yourself looking up at the ceiling early.

But the way to stop the weaving is to throw to the body. At that point, it's not a counter opportunity unless you just miss entirely.
