Fight Night Round 4 or UFC Undisputed?

I know that this is the Fight Night forum - which may tend to lead things to be a little biased - but I'm not sure where to put this thread, so if the mods can find a better place, please do so.

But I also put this thread in the Fight Night forum as opposed to the MMA forum because I am leaning towards getting Fight Night... although I am more of an UFC fan right now, hence my dilemma.

I've played all of the Fight Night games, and I tried the demo for Round 4... I thought that it was nothing short of incredible. And even though I stated that I am more of a UFC fan these days, I am much more familiar with Fight Night's awesome roster.

So I'm looking for opinions. I watch more UFC, but it looks like Fight Night is the better game. But even though this is the Fight Night forum, which do you honestly think is the better title, and why?

I'm a bigger UFC fan but Fight Night is better. I've barely played Undisputed since Fight Night dropped.

I don't view the sport equally; I watch boxing on the edge of my seat without blinking and when its a big fight I could barely sit down. When watching the UFC I watch it and understand the sport well, but I just don't get the same excitement-except when Hendo jacked up Bisping (wholly crap, Batman).

Get both if you can, they are both good games and both have flaws

it all depends on you.....If you are more of a online guy, I say UFC but if not then FNR4

both are two different games soo im not going to compare, its like comparing FIFA09 to NHL09

what do you prefer?

UFC. I have no interest in boxing anymore. I played the demo for FN4 and thought it was boring. Just what I think.

Gagzoo it is very simple.

Online play = UFC 2009

Great single player = FN4

Reasons

Online play = UFC online EVERYTHING has a counter, so there is truly no cheese to be exploited. At this moment, there is some wonky stuff that can be exploited in FN4, it is not game killing but it is still not as balanced as UFC online.

Single player = FN4 single is just much deeper, plus with sliders to adjust the game to your liking you can always get great fun match ups. UFC career mode gets boring after you have been through it once.

I'm definitely a bit biased being a big boxing fan and only watching an occasional UFC match here and there. To me, FN4 is the sport game of the year. Boxing isn't as popular as NBA or football, but to me FN4 feels a lot fresher than say, Madden. The boxershare is a great addition - created boxers like Bernard Hopkins, Oscar, Tito, Klitschko etc. are almost as good, and sometimes equal, to the licensed ones. The online mode is pretty good, you will come across cheesers often, but that's been toned down with EA's removal of the HUD for online fights (from first patch) and there is hope for even greater improvements.

That said, the UFC demo was impressive. Some think it's deeper than FN4 because you can wrestle on the floor or fight standing up and you have more moves, etc. But I'm pretty sure the learning curve for FN4 and the overall level of depth once you've played it over time is greater in FN, and no doubt the roster, particularly with the boxershare option is much better.

OS did a head to head recap of the two games recently and gave a slight edge to FN4.

havent played Undisputed, but boxing > MMA...and FN4 is the best boxing game ever created, so I voted for FN

Despite the flaws FN4 is an impressive accomplishment.

All I can say is FNR4 is a great game. It lived up to the hype for me.

Havent played UFC, but I may want to give it a rent first. It sounds like a pretty good game.

I have UFC and love the game but, all this FN4 talk has me thinking about picking it up. I loved FN3 is this that much better.
