There would be a tourney (round robin, at least two pools if enough participants) to decide rankings and where you end up would determine how many points you get to add (3-5 attribute points depending on where you are). I am thinking there would be one to two fights per week, no more.
On the issue of caps, heavyweights have the biggest range as far as height and weight. For every inch over 6-5 you have a cap as far as stamina, hand and foot speed. Weight isn't a big a deal, but you do seem to get tired more quickly at 260 than you would at 200. If we go heavyweight I just don't want a league full of 6-8, 260 lb Shaq Foreman's for every fight. In the other weight classes there will be no CAP as far as height or weight.
Please vote if you are interested or not and what class you are the most interested. No licensed boxers unless they are 80-82 overall.
I was planning this for a week now, tossing around idea, but when I saw the post today I figured I had netter put this up. The results, etc, will be posted here and in my blog section here on OS.
Word of warning...no body/head butt spammers (more than 3 and it isn't an accident), suction specialists, turbo blockers, turtle spinners or cord pullers. This will be a league for guys who want to box and avoid the toughman contests we so often see online. Oh, and if you block your head most of the time and he hits you in the stomach it isn't spamming, it's him being smart. If your guy is based on speed/defense and you bob and weave/pick off shots that's cool, but constantly pressing up and down blocking in a rapid manner is not sim. Neither is spinning around like you are possessed in some horror flick. Haymaker spammer, do so at your own risk, most guys are skilled enough now to deal with them.
Ok, vote yes/no and what class and I'll post a bracket/setup by the end of this week or first of next week.
