Playlists still freezing game after patch

Is anyone besides me still having their game freeze at the splash screen because of music playlists?

I normally allow my computer to share music with my 360, but, I have it turned off because it causes the game to freeze at the splash screen. After I applied the patch when it was released, I turned on the Windows Media Player sharing again because EA said the patch had fixed that issue. However, the game wouldn't go past the splash screen. When I stopped the sharing again, the game booted up fine.

I waited to see if people on this forum or other forums would say that they were still having this problem and that the patch didn't resolve the issue. But, I haven't seen anything. Am I the only one? Did the patch work for anyone who had the playlists stopping their game from booting up?

If not, EA needs to hear this because this is still an issue. The problem has not been resolved.

patch seemed to work for me for a few days, now its back to freezing again

Never froze for me, but I only use like 7 custom songs. My problem is the custom songs' volume is too low.

Is your laptop/computer set up for media sharing with the 360? Because that was the problem for me. Not the playlists.

Yes, my computer is set up with the media sharing because I don't have any music ripped to my 360. If you have to many playlists (30+), then, it caused the game to freeze. I have over 30 playlists, so, my game froze on me. But, EA said that they resolved the issue with the patch they released, but, it still froze on me when I tried sharing media again.

Are you still having the problems since the patch was released or did the patch resolve the issue?

The patch didn't resolve anything for me. If my media sharing is on then I freeze. If I turn it off then I am golden.

Ok. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I hope EA still knows this is an issue and is in the process of resolving it. I'm tired of having to turn media sharing off because of one game.

I feel ya. Although it is fairly easy to do, it is still somewhat of a hassle...especially since I am usually streaming music during games anyways.

it's working now. i deleted the update and then re-installed it. the game takes a little longer to load up at the splash screen than it does without sharing enabled, but, it loads and works. so, you can try deleting the update and re-installing it. that may help you the same way it helped me.
