Do you think a boxing sim could sell? Explain
From me watching the many forums across the internet I see a sim boxing game can sell. All the complaining is about the arcadish things EA put in this game, unrealistic punches output, stamina, glued feet effect, I can go on and on. Many of you guys shot down the idea of wanting Fight Night to be sim. We have to support each other instead of shooting down ideas. This one came back and bit many of you. Let Facebreaker be for the arcade and casual fans. I want Fight Night to be up there with Madden and FIFA as far as attention giving by the producers.

Re: Do you think a boxing sim could sell? Explain
FN4 is a sim. If you don't agree with that statement there are options for you to mess with sliders and get a sim experience. It has arcadish elements thrown in, like any other sim game out there, but you can tone them down or eliminate them competely. It's as much a simulation of boxing as Madden is a football simulation, IMO.Comment

I hate to bring this game up, but the UFC game is sim and it is sell very well. I think sim can sell. I think EA should dig alittle deep into sim or at least give us deeper customization and options.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

Re: Do you think a boxing sim could sell? Explain
Im a pm from an EA dev I was told the game def. plays more sim with new patch in regards to constant punching/stamina and low blows. Just last night I beat a guy that wanted to butt all the time. In return he got the low blow/haymaker UC comboComment

Re: Do you think a boxing sim could sell? Explain
It's ALOT more sim that it was prior to the DLC, there's absolutely no disputing that. If they removed haymakers, it would be freaking PERFECT.
But they won't.Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

Re: Do you think a boxing sim could sell? Explain
i think a boxing sim could sell. the boxers road/VB series does very well and has been doing so since the ps1 days.
the boxers road/victorious boxer series is a true boxing sim. it's not perfect but it reps the sport much better than FN. FN has it beat in terms of graphics, but everything else goes to VB.
the series has no licensed fighters but the create a fighter is very very deep.
with this game :
-every weight division each with dozens of fighters in each is represented. some fighters retire because of age, some because of their w-l record and some because of injury. you also see new fighters entering the game during your career.
-depending on the stage of your career you can have 4,8,10,and 12 round fights.
-you must watch your diet and i mean watch your diet.
-you have to scout your opponent and you have the ability to view fight tape of your opponent.
-your pre fight training schedule includes sparring.
everything a real life fighter does you can do in this game.
the fighting mechanics and controls are well done with absolutely no gimmicks. it obeys the rules and fundamentals of boxing much better than any other boxing series.
there is a market for any game sim and arcade, as long as it is well made people will buy it.Comment

Re: Do you think a boxing sim could sell? Explain
Victorious Boxers Revolution has sold about 130,000 copies worldwide since the Japanese release in June of 2007. Not really a good example to use if you think sim can "sell".Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...Comment

As for Victorious Boxers. Man, contrary to what you might be thinking, that game is no where near popular. Another note, yea its a little more sim than FN behind the scenes, but fight night crushes it hands down in the ring.
VB doesn't play sim, its too twitchy. Players move like jackrabbits, lol. It is a good game though. FN should model its career mode off of VBs.Comment

Re: how to set up new antivirus system .
I think there are enough guys out there who actually like the sweat science of boxing and not just the knoickouts and the the other fluff. I think EA took a step in the right direction, but fn rd4 is still catered to the masses because ea is trying to make as much as possible. The Sports Preacher
