Of course I still play it. And enjoy the heck out of it.

Those who are alreday done with it are in for a long road. It won't be out again for 2 years.

boxing is my favorite sport, and this is by far the best boxing game of all time, so of course I play it. I will play it religiously for years until the next FN is released. I hated FN3, but round 4 is awesome.

Madden frustrates me...it seems like the same ol same ol...I would rather play APF2k8 for my football fix. I will play some Madden this year, but it wont get near the time in my box as FN or APF. The game im really waiting for is Forza 3, then it's game over. MOst of my other games will get neglected once Forza comes out, but I will still find the time to plug in FN. It's a great rendition of boxing imo.

Re: Anyone still playing this game?

The patch has really given the game legs for me. This afternoon, I put it in and can honestly say I boxed and was happy. Before, if I lost I would be upset because of the stupidity pre-patch. Now, if I lose, it's more a reflection on what I did wrong, instead of how bad the fatigue is. I believe the FN4 team now when they said they are committed to the title (updates etc.).

I really enjoy it. I enjoy Madden too. At some point, you have to put these games in perspective, and understand they will have limitations. With Madden and FN4, you can not deny they have made progress from their previous versions.

I love the game but I'm furious that apparently now my disc is unreadable. I played it two days ago and didn't have a problem. I try now and I can't even get past the start screen. Lame, hope I got insurance on it.

Have you been playing Madden or NCAA and adding custom soundtracks for them?

Freezing at the loading screen is a known issue and it's not because you have a bad disc.

This is such a funny question I had to respond twice.

Am I still playing this game??

                  Are you OK homie?

Still playing... not as many people playing as before. Sometimes have to wait a while before I get matched up in WC mode.

Re: Anyone still playing this game?

I'm no pro at the game but the patch has made it enjoyable for online. I just played a guy that refused to learn from his mistakes. He was throwing straights like a man possessed. All I'd do wass move around, duck, weave and counter. Both sides of his face were like ground beef. The funny thing is...he got up 4 times. Usually these guys can't get up on two knockdowns.

The sad part of it all is I rarely fight anyone in WC where they show any representation of the sport.

Fight Night is one of those games that you can stop playing for a little bit and when you come back you remember how hot it is. With so many games on my plate, I had taken a little break from it. I got a chance to get some fights in with Creep and a couple of other people over the weekend. This game is so enjoyable when fighting against quality opponents. My jaw dropped when I heard of people trading this in already. I plan on getting back into UFC at some point too, but R4 is definitely the superior fighting game.

Well I'm back playin it agian. I'm going to start to my legacy over. (new slim ps3)
I've fought 3 fights online and didn't face any cheese although I got my can handed to me all three fights. Just got out boxed. They all went to 7-8 rnds. But I am having a hard time timing my counters so I can't hit em with good shots.

It'll come back though just like I did. Just takes some time.

WC mode is a joke when it comes to stamina. 6'8" 260lb heavyweights who move like Ali and can throw 400 punches over three rounds without tiring because it's one-two-three, back out really fast to regen stamina, rinse and repeat. It's becoming a clown fest, it really is. It's just a new tactic to learn. When new cheese appears I go .500 and when I figure it out I go .750 until the the cheese pops up. I have average skills, I admit that, but dang, it's frustrating. A newb button user tosses 1200 jabs with one of those max height/weight CABs and doesn't get tired, and this is post patch.

Post patch there is a difference when you throw ten punches straight, but not two or three and rest, especially in WC mode. Spammers have just gotten a hair more patient.

That's probably the best representation of the patch, what you wrote. They can still pound with body shots, and they can still low blow and headbutt when you get them in trouble. No doubt, the game has changed online, and I can tolerate it now, but EA seems to have teased us with this patch update. I also think they revealed that an easy way was taken in updating the title. All the did was alter some logic in punches thrown vs punches taken. They didn't dig deep and look at what you mentioned, a boxer's height and weight. They didn't go in there and alter the guts of the game. I wonder if they can.

If you've spent alot of time tweaking sliders, like I have it's pretty apparent what they're doing.

For example, when the first DLC came out, the new Punch Accuracy slider was set by default at max (10). In the 2nd DLC, they said they "tweaked" punch accuracy. If you checked the sliders, all they did was changed the default to 8.
