    Concerning the Patch: Online

Especially with Ranked and the World Championship mode, I wonder if those that "spam" or abuse the game's fatigue issue will even know the game has been patched. They will see the title update, but I highly doubt those who choose to fight that way will even put together the fact that online-match stamina has been addressed.

Going even further, if this title is updated in a way that truly fixes this stamina issue, we should see a very drastic switch in leaderboards and the WC mode. I really am interested in seeing the response. sure, people will eventually put it together, but I think it's due time that those that abuse the game get some payback.

I will be thoroughly testing this tomorrow. I am mainly an online player, so this could make it near perfect for me. Spammers are the only thing holding it back from being the most sim online experience of any sports game.

it will switch to counter specialists, you watch. Block, weave and spin spammers will be even more prevalent if they don't attach stamina to those things as well. I don't like how guys that lean and throw jabs are penalized more as far as stamina than guys throwing 12 straight missed/blocked punches. At least that will be rectified. If suction isn't fixed it's going to be nasty online...weave weave weave and counter while they use suction.

I agree, but do you think that will be as effective as body spamming? For one thing, when you weave, it takes stamina from you. Also, it's very hard to weave out of a body punch.

I don't have a problem with weaving. It happens a lot in boxing. There is constant moving and weaving.

I actually welcome these types of players as they don't give me trouble. The only type of guys that give me trouble are the ones who are skilled (for lack of a better word) body spammers. I am ranked 75 in heavyweight OWC and I play sim as they come. Real tactics almost always win out unless you fight a relentless body spammer. Can't wait for the patch tomorrow.

I wasn't sure if weaving lost stamina, I know leaning and bobbing causes it. Spamming is pretty much done for though according to the description devs gave. No constant 20 punch combos ans 14 straight crosses.

I agree, because I see it so often IRL I don't really mind it. You just have to hold back and time your shots.

Yeah, weaving is not an issue at all. If the stamina has more of an effect on the punch spammers I'll be happy.

                  Re: Concerning the Patch: Online

My problem with weaving wasn't that it was done so much, just that it was dang near impossible to hit someone in the head while they did it. It was almost fool proof. After three fights post patch it seems jabs aren't as easily weaved through. I lost to the first guy who tossed non-stop haymakers that were really fast for some reason and beat the next two who tried to butt their way out of getting ko'd. The last two guys were definitely spammers who weren't sure what to do, but they kept going after the body none the less.

Something else I noticed is haymakers and counters cause more damage it seems as I actually had a flash knockdown in both of my wins. The first guy was just a good fighter and a skilled spammer that waited a few seconds to charge his stamina back up.

What I don't like is your stamina doesn't regenerate while you are holding your block. I may have been seeing things, but that seems to be the case. I am starting to think I am regressing though, as I am losing to level 1's and 2's. I don't know of these are guys with new EA profiles, because they aren't fighting like it. I dunno.

Overall I give two thumbs up for the patch. The button user's don't have much of an advantage, if any, as going from head to body, offense to defense or even defense to offense/counter is difficult. I am staying with the sticks.

Hmm I thought stamina does regenerate when holding block. I thought it didn't when you leaned.

No, I was in the corner blocking and retreating, no leaning. It was probably just me, lol.

Playing online now, my Lucian Bute vs. Young Foreman...will update.

                        Rnd one: he spams straights.

Rnd five: he's finally tiring. He's ok, but he's a typical Foreman straight spammer hoping he can cut me.

I got KO'd in the tenth. He threw 850+ punches, 300 of which were straights in succession. I spam blocked intentionally when he/she did that BS. I've decided that I wasn't going to play a foreman user anymore unless my CAB had a high power rating. He was dead tired and shouldn't have had the power he did. I still don't think the devs watched the Rumble in the Jungle, lol. I lost straight up, don't get me wrong, but he threw 300 more punches than me and should have been gassed. The other user would throw five or six, recharge, throw five or six more.

The good news is the block meter held after so many punches and the head body head body punching isn't as deadly, neither is weaving. The game is more balanced finally.

By the way, he was a button user. No big deal, I'd have lost either way.
