They put buttons back in? Now I can throw the punch I expected to throw instead some jibberish that gets my chin touched, lol. I just may put this game into the PS3 now.... nah maybe after basketball season

I play both ways and I actually like both ways. Each has advantages and disadvantages and overall, I think they're just about dead equal.

I still use the sticks and I win more now since the upgrade.

I actually couldn't go back to the buttons. I have been winning about the same, win 3 or more in a row, then lose 1 or 2, and go back to my winning ways.

I don't think its a big deal. I can't always tell who's using button or not, but I'm still dominant either way. I see no change. I still use TPC. I do think its kind of ghey for givng the unadapted losers some cushion. survival of the fittest

Is the price drop to 49.99 (42.29 @ the EA Store) for a new copy of the game a reflection on the Fight Night team admitting some faults with this addition? I just don't recall in recent memory any game dropping 10-17 bucks new.

Like I said, I use both, and there's definite differences.

I can say this with 100% certainty - using the buttons absolutely DOES NOT give the "unadapted losers" an advantage.

                Why?

Because the transition from offense to defense using TPC is smooth and INSTANTANEOUS.

A button puncher is exposed, if even for a fraction of a second, while trying to transition from offense to defense.

The REAL issue is that an offensive fighter, REGARDLESS of control scheme, can throw punches forever without having to play defense AT ALL.
