Re: Should i get Fight Night Round 4
Because of all the other games that have come out since FNRd's release I've neglected this beauty for a while.
But I recently dusted it off and I'm all over it again.
Like acts said, this game is probably the best sim boxing game to date. The sliders work pretty well so you can get it to play however you like.
And if you can find some good sim style players online, it can be a blast with multiplayer too.
In my recent career mode I was an undefeated heavyweight who was ranked #1 PFP. But then I ran into a pretty good contender and lost via KO in the 9th round. I walked right into a haymaker uppercut. Good night!
I avenged that defeat but then lost another 12 round heartbreaker. I was floored in the 12th round and if not for that I would have received a majority draw.
The Legacy Mode is the deepest we've seen from any US-made boxing game (nothing touches VB2's career mode - insane!) since Evander Holyfield boxing on the Genesis.
Still, it can be kind of repetitive and the training can get boring/frustrating too.
But overall, there's enough to keep you interested. And if you're a boxing fan, it's a must have in my opinion.Comment

Just like FNR3, this stays in my collection until the next one drops. FNR4 is a great game. Even if I don't play for a little while I always come back to it.Comment

Re: Should i get Fight Night Round 4
I would say buy it. I have been playing the seris since the first knockout kings. I think it is a great game and it looks like EA will continue to add fighters. Think about it, they can delay making another game for a year or two if they keep locking up fighters. All they have to do is release the DLC at strategic times. I am almost positive they will lrelease a DLC with Floyd and Berto included, i Bet it drops around March or April. It is easy revenue, they don't have to worry about packaging a product and they cut out the retailers. Madden should take a page out of their book. The ultimate goal of being successful is the luxury of giving yourself the time to do what you want to do.

Re: Should i get Fight Night Round 4
For anyone on the fence, this game has become playable online and will be more playable after the patch 12/2 or 12/3. I love the DLC and hope we get more and more. I would love to have a DLC for more legends, contenders, and current title holders. Been playing nonstop since 6/23/09.Comment

Re: Should i get Fight Night Round 4
FN4 has been my favorite sports game this year and i own or have played nearly all of them. I stopped playing online due to the cheesing a few months ago and I am still in the top 200 in heavyweight OWC. I plan on giving it another try to knock out some cheesing bums tomorrow when the patch drops.Comment
