    Getting up after a Knockdown?

    I am having troubles with getting back up after a knockdown.

    I can always get up the first time, but after that I am unable to get up at all.

    To get up the first time all I am doing is pushing the left stick to the middle and then the right stick straight up once it reaches the middle.

    However, after a 2nd knockdown I can't seem to get the timing right and it won't work.

    Is there something else I am missing here, or something I could be doing differently?

    Well, this is gonna sound crazy, but go to Fight now and fight as a crappy middle weight (for time purposes) vs a Tyson or Foreman and get knocked down on purpose...and practice. That's all you can really do for that. I can get up three times, sometimes four just because of that. Each successive knockdown is more sensitive on the controllers, keep that in mind. On the third one I always wait a couple seconds before I try to get up and it's a little easier. Hope this helps!

      The first knockdown is obviously easy.

      Here's what I've found helps me with the 2nd and beyond:

      Move the stick HARD in the direction that it needs to go and let it go RIGHT PAST the middle of the bar. So if it starts on the left, push the stick right until it goes ALL THE WAY right. The meter will actually "bounce" back towards the middle. From there, it's much easier to center and use the right stick to get up.
      Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...

        I've seen a similar tactic to this but I've never tried it so I'm not sure if it's legit. My opponent would get up and fall down intentionally 2 or 3 times before actually trying to get back up.

          It works.

          I went from only being able to get up once to being able to get up 3 or even 4 times after I started using it.
          Recovering slider addict...Fight Night Round 4 caused me to relapse...
