Has anyone else noticed this post patch?

This is something that didn't occur directly after I dl'd the patch. Which was a few days ago. But over the course of today and yesterday the most bizarre thing keeps happening.

I keep getting stunned off regular punches. Not counters, not haymakers. Just regular punches. I'll be leaning in and out of the way of my opponents punches (offline) and i'll get hit with a jab, cross, or rarely hook. And it's always while I'm leaning, blocking, or both. And the next thing I know I'm flashing red and my guy is almost dead completely. I'm doing a heavyweight 'double elimination' tournament with some friends so I was practicing with some different boxers.

As Tyson I landed 469 of 812 punches through 12 rounds, I was knocked down 4 times, and stunned 36 times (I counted, obviously).
My opponent landed 132 out of 571 punches, was knocked down twice, and was stunned 8 times.

Based on those numbers it's a frickin' miracle for my opponent that the fight went past 4 rounds. But it did, it went the distance. I was able to KO him in the last minute of the 12th round. But the only reason it went that long is because everytime I mounted offense I'd get hit with some weak punch like a cross, a cross that is NOT a counter-punch, and that's it, tyson would have a quarter inch of health left and I'd be off to the races. This happened 36 frickin' times. I would say out of those 36, 2 were legitimate stuns off counters or haymaker-counters.

Now I'm not amazing at the game, I'll probably never win an online title belt. But I'm alright. Pre-patch this wasn't happening. Last night I tried different fighters in different weight classes and the same thing kept happening. Again, this only started two days ago and I've had the patch for 4 days.

Did they implement the 'perfect punch' where if you get hit perfectly if you're leaning at an awkward angle you get stunned? I'm pretty confused. I don't mind getting stunned, knocked down, or knocked out, I enjoy losing. But this is just getting absurd. Even my fiance who knows nothing about video games outside of a wii was like wow. you hit him so many times and he hits you once and your guy is like dead, that's kinda unfair isn't it? Or is the game just supposed to be really hard? Bless her soul. haha.

I just wanted to know if anyone else had been experiencing this or if anyone knows why this is happening all of a sudden?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

What slider setup and difficulty were you using? Also, were you leaning into the punch or away from it? If you lean into it, there are times it's an auto stun or KD.

GOAT difficulty is weighted towards the CPU, btw.

I play mostly ranked matches online and, yes, I've been seeing this more often post-patch. I'm seeing way more punches like counter crosses resulting in a stun. I'm seeing a lot more stuns per fight, too.

I think it's a good thing. It can be kind of frustrating since I'm not used to getting stunned so often, but it will just take some adjusting to get used to it. I think it makes for a more realistic match. It doesn't matter if you're dominating for 8 rounds - if you get hit with a solid shot, you're hurt and the fight can be over if you're not lucky.

Re: Has anyone else noticed this post patch?

Thank you for the responses. I'm on Champion difficulty and as far as sliders goes it's my own set derived from some of the ones on here. I play probably 10 or 15 fight now matches a day as stress relief. The last couple days it's happened a lot less. So i guess maybe I was leaning into them. I started trying to disect why it was happening and it's very possible it's a counter-cross while your opponent is ducking or leaning into the punch. Don't get me wrong I think it's a great addition but ultimately when you're stunned 36 times in one match from those it's a little ridiculous. In other fights over the last few days things have improved. I've still been stunned off those type punches maybe once or twice per match. It's kinda odd because it feels as though I can't ever do it back to the computer, despite the cross being my favorite punch to use.

And while I'm asking that. The sliders 'boxer physical damage' and 'boxer toughness'. Do those apply for both Hum and AI? And what exactly is boxer physical damage? How much damage they show or something? I'm a little lost on a couple of the sliders. Kinda like the "chin" and "head toughness" attributes, it's kind of redundant.

          I've done it a couple times, pre-patch. Haven't seen it yet post-patch.
