Anyone have any "edited" stats on how to get him to his "prime" days??

EA must not like Tyson
I've edited Tyson's stats to try and make him better, which I think we need MORE then just 20 points to use. Moving him from an 89 to a 90 does not make much difference. However, it does not seem to matter what stats I use for him, he is very weak. I had both his hand power at 100, and he couldn't do anything. Even in a CPU vs CPU match, he kept losing to an 87 and below rated boxers! And also kept getting knocked down.

But other CPU generated fighters with less stats take me to the wire quite often.
Tyson has one of the best chins boxing's ever seen and yet knocking him down or out is quite easy.
Meanwhile, Ali's right hand is like being hit by a mack truck. If he extends, you're stunned, knocked down or out.
For Round 5, this is where having ratings for individual punches is crucial. That might help. -

I always minimize his heart rating and redistribute those points to other areas.Comment

Re: EA must not like Tyson
I thought I read something about the ratings not working over on the EA forums....like a guy was doing tests with increased hand power and the punches weren't doing anymore damageHere We Go Steelers!!! Here We Go!!!

Re: EA must not like Tyson
A Tyson conspiracy...lol
The problem in not the stats, his size is the issue...
I have both Tyson's hands at 95, ive knocked out Ali, Foreman and Lewis in the first round a couple of times with that setting...
Mike is 5'11 which means against bigger guys you literally have to be up in their chest to do max damage...His size also makes him very susceptible to getting caught by clean uppercuts which puts him in stun a lot more frequently then bigger guys...
Size playing a factor is realistic, it's not something i would complain about because that's something they actually got right...Comment

I do agree that they did make Tyson's chin too low, he took major beatings in every fight before he was knocked down with the only exception being the Danny Williams fight but I think he quit because of his knee. Anyhow, Lennox hit Mike with some bombs and Buster and Evander pounded on him for 10 rounds befor ehe succumbed. The ultimate goal of being successful is the luxury of giving yourself the time to do what you want to do.

Re: EA must not like Tyson
My edits were something like this:
Power: 100 in both hands
95 hand speed
100 foot speed
100 head movement
90 chin
90 stamina
I think his heart was anywhere from 50-57 and pounch accuracy around 80. He was a freaking beast when I did the above.Comment

Re: EA must not like Tyson
I agree with you Bamtino. You have to be an inside fighter with Tyson. You MUST utilize the bob and weave with Tyson, you cannot just walk right in a throw punches or you will be KO'd. The Tyson that was a beast was the Mike that bobbed and weaved his way in an unleashed hooks and uppercuts off of those weaves. I can consistently beat every heavyweight fighter BUT Ali (his movement is really hard to deal with).

Mike took serious blows in all those fights and was barely even fazed...The accumulation of punishment eventually got him which happens to everybody...His Head toughness IMO should be the same as Frazier’s (89) and I’d give him foreman’s chin (89)...Iv'e tested that out and it feels perfect, he's always going to be susceptible to uppercuts because of his size but no more getting stunned by Ali's jab...Comment
