Ten Great Fights That Should Happen in 2010

Pac vs Maywether is the obvious one but there are a few that I would like to see like Gamboa v Lopez

Good read. I'd like to see Amir Khan against Timothy Bradley. Now that would be a fight.

Other than Manny-Mayweather, Gamboa-JuanMa is my most anticipated potential fight of 2010.

Pacquiao-Valero would be SICK. That would bring more fans into the sport than Pacquiao-Mayweather because it would be all action. It could be the new decade's Hagler-Hearns. But it won't happen unless Valero gets his visa problems sorted. He can't fight in the U.S. because of them.

Not a chance. There are two HUGE differences between B-Hop and RJJ:

        1. B-Hop is a great defensive fighter. RJJ is not.
        2. B-Hop still has it. RJJ does not.

Not a chance? Heard that before.

Danny Green will beat the ageless B-Hop IF the fight happens. There is now a disagreement over the splitting of the purse, Hopkins wants 60-40 as opposed to the agreed 50-50 made in USA recently.

Hopkins is treading the well worn road of 'fighting one too many fights' - Green will make him realise that.

Valero needs to fight quality opponents. He keeps fighting low level fighters.

The visa issue hurts Valero, big-time. Top-level fighters want to fight in the U.S., where purses and PPV revenues are the largest. Valero doesn't have a visa to enter the U.S., so he can't fight here.

Since when has Danny Green became the second coming of Evander Holyfield or Dwight Muhammad Qwai at cruiserweight? You're overrating him, big time. He has beaten NO ONE other than a clearly shot Roy Jones Jr.

Sorry, but a resume that consists of recent victories over Stipe Drews, Anthony Van Niekerk and Julio Cesar Dominguez doesn't quite stack up to B-Hop's recent list of Kelly Pavlik, Joe Calzaghe, Winky Wright, Antonio Tarver and Jermain Taylor. B-Hop has sparred against better competition than Green has fought.

But I'll be the first to eat a steaming plate of crow if Green wins. But I'm very confident that I can keep my fork and knife in the drawer.

Agree with most of the above, BUT, I still think he will be the aging Hopkins in Australia. Keep the utensils close, I will be reminding you of the post when this goes down.

p.s. I ain't portraying him as no second coming of anyone, Green has all the momentum right now and I believe he will prove Hopkins to be the old man that he is today (and I like B-Hop). It's happened to other great fighters, it will happen to him if he takes this fight.

Oh yes, thats right. But was he just licensed to fight in Texas? I could've sworn I read that in an article months back. I could be wrong.

I don't think so. He also had a brain bleeding situation earlier in his career that could scare off doctors who must clear him for licenses to fight in the States.

I'll get straight to the point homie... You Are tripping!!! I know he's well past his prime but come on man!!! Roy lost because he cant take punches at all, we never knew this because at his best he never really got hit even against world class fighters like James Toney, and bernard wasn't that seasoned when Jones beat him back in 93' I think BAD Chad has potential to expose Hopkins age if he boxed smart and at the same time he would have to be fearless and go in for the kill. He has the physical tools to do it, Dawson-Hopkins would be a better fight for boxing fans.
