    World Championship mode online questions.

Well, I decided to try out a created boxer in the world champ mode. First time trying out this mode.

It states that this mode levels your boxers ratings. Can someone elaborate on this please? Does it even out every boxer, or are some boxers still better in certain areas than others depending on what ratings you had in your legacy?

Oh, and tell me that you can only use created boxers from legacy mode and not the random CABs with the ungodly stats, lol.

You can use your CAB, but with what points you are given when first creating him. When you take him in WCM, they level him out to keep all boxers competitive, but you can put the CAB points to one trait more than another.

I really don't know if that's a big deal because things seem to work the same for all boxers. WCM can be fun but it's very much filled with guys that want the quick win and try and throw a million punches. It can be very frustrating.

Give it a try and post what you think.

Yea, the million punch crowd, lol. At the moment, I actually enjoy that because I'm destroying em. Its probably because I'm fighting the lesser skilled spam punchers right now, lol.

Once I get to the guys that continuously throw punches but are somewhat good at it, then I'll probably get frustrated. As of now I'm 10-0 with 2 KOs. Straight ring skills, lol. I'm taking em the full 10 rounds, they cant hang at all.

I went 9 rounds with a guy that had over 250 wins and less than 60 losses. I usually wait for the intro to see their record. That's when I know i'm in for a mess. 90% of the time a guy with a big win record just moves in does the body, body, head punches. I went 9 rounds with him but just couldn't hang. He was tired, but was still able to fire off crazy amounts of punches. I looked at the totals of the fight. I connected with 72% of my punches. He connected with 59%. I countered 38 of his punches, he countered 16 of mine.

The problem is he threw 2 times as many punches as I did.

Yea, I was done in today by one of those cats, lol. As corny as it may sound, along with the gameplay I like my matches to actually look like boxing matches, which translates into a jab here a jab there, ya know a little more slow paced, conserving stamina, the whole 9.

The play styles of most online players I really cant get into.

One thing the game does (when you play someone who is civil and doesn't abuse) is reward you. I have learned to move and block to where I get good counters in. At times I will see my opponent just stop and you can see his frustration. It takes a while, but when you get to around round 7, you can start picking up your punches and get a knock out.

This is all on who you play.

I'm learning that sidesteps are really good against spammers. When they come in to throw, just sidestep and counter.
