Lost its appeal? Speak for yourself man. You're talking like everybody and his mama dont like fightnight, lol.

I've had it since day one and still love it. Fight Night is as sim as YOU make it.

you are talking for yourself. I see the fans on different sites I go on who are not pleased with this games and stopped playing. I'm a EA Fight Night Round 4 Moderator on the EA forums and I see and read what the fans are saying.

Have you seen online? Many people have abandoned this game a long time ago. Many of the hardcore Fight Night fans too.

I played Round 3 all the way until Round 4 came out and I still play Round 4 several times a week. The game hasn't lost its appeal to me at all. If it has for you, my suggestion would be to sell it and find other things to do. Why keep discussing something that has lost its appeal to you?

I remember when Mike Mahar said that the Created Fighters that we implement into Legacy Mode keep their stats, Well that was a bunch of BS.

Also, Why does every fighter have the same all 100 Stats? I fought a Black guy with Irish Trunks on yesterday in Legacy, also why do they all have crazy losses..

This Game was a HUGE disappointment. ROund 5 has no where to go but up, and I pray to god they do not have any gimmicks in it.

How many boxing games has Ea made? And they still are ****ing up.

I do have other things to do. I Moderate EA's Fight Night Round 4 forums and I relay feedback to the producers.

This is the best boxing game I've played next to victorious boxers.

most of what he mentioned was dead on and it all added up

I'll single out one area that most frustrates me and that was the CAB system

You should be able to rate your CABs whatever the hell you want for offline play.....that point limit is a *****.

We should be able to edit a licensed fighters style and weight class at least down 1 and 2 higher then their default

and we should be able to have at least 4-5xs as many CAB slots
Here We Go Steelers!!! Here We Go!!!

I will just say that to me, Fight Night shares the same problem Crysis did, which is that it feels like more of a tech show-off than a full game.

Many people feel this way too. They felt like it was a rushed game and it was just setting up the EA MMA game and Fight Night Round 5.

i agree 100 percent with shakyr. You could ALWAYS turn a sim-based game into an arcade experience, but you could NEVER turn an arcade based-game into a sim experience.

Look at MLB 10 the show for example.....you want a sim game? you get that right off the bat with some slight slider tuning. You want an arcade game out of that ? Turn all the power sliders up, pitching speed slower and they even added options such as super pitch, big heads, etc.

Fight night 4 has too many gimmicks. Haymaker sucks, the counter window sucks,no flash KOs, crosses do very little damage ( this is the big one since in boxing history this punch with the right boxers can be devastating and a ko weapon).

In fnr4 the only punches worth throwing are hooks and uppercuts so it renders the long reach guys useless if you wnt to damage with them.

Keep preaching shakyr because look at ALL the games that strive for simulations, they all have had success.

MLB the show series = pure sim
nhl ea series turned mostly sim in 07 and now is at its strongest
nfl 2k5 still has a people playing it.
nba 2k series is at the top

like shakyr said, ufc did so well because the game is a SIM based game. Yes it has its arcade moments, but it's based on the real thing. FNR4 didnt come close to that. I don't know what it would take to make them understand

It will take passionate fans like us to keep speaking up. The Fight Night fans need to be outspoken like the fans of them games you mentioned.

hey poe u forgot a few starting with the ppl who trade the title's back and forth between friends, the lack of different weight classes for online, and the fact that the dev's have absolutly no control over their own game and ppl trading the belts between friends is proof of that

The only reason this game lost it's appeal to me is I get too stressed out on the online fights. And I don't mean the frustration by spammers I can beat them with a good defense.

                            I'm talkin in general.
I'm too competitive, and takes a toll on me. Cause in all honesty I'm not that good. LOL

Mind you I'm not a "boxing sim guy" I just want to fight, idc about how many punches were thrown each round, % of uppercuts vs hooks, etc...

Edit; I do still play this quite often with my buddy, I whoop his arse most of the time though.

I still enjoy playing FNRd4. But where I lost interest was the shallow career mode.

It's better than almost all the other KK or FN games, but it's lack of depth bores me after a few days into a new Legacy.

We've all added to the list of things that can be added to the career mode and I really hope Brizzo and the boys listen and take heed.

More weight classes, stable of fighters, injuries, diet, promoters, trainers, etc.
Madden, NHL, NBA 2K, The Show would all get boring if they had weak franchise modes. Boxing is no different.
