I agree as well.I lose interest in legacies after a few months(in game time)they hyped this mode so much and it was such a dissapointment.I really hope brizzo and company have their **** together for the next game

Re: “The Top Reasons Fight Night Round 4 lost its Appeal so fast.”
I still enjoy playing FNRd4. But where I lost interest was the shallow career mode.
It's better than almost all the other KK or FN games, but it's lack of depth bores me after a few days into a new Legacy.
We've all added to the list of things that can be added to the career mode and I really hope Brizzo and the boys listen and take heed.
More weight classes, stable of fighters, injuries, diet, promoters, trainers, etc.
Madden, NHL, NBA 2K, The Show would all get boring if they had weak franchise modes. Boxing is no different.
If the boxing gameplay is stale and unrealistic like fnr4, no matter how robust the career mode is, it would still be worthless.
If the gameplay is tight and there was NO career mode, you would still have a great boxing game at hand. Hopefully they fix both, but they need to fix the gameplay first second and third and then add on to the career mode.Comment

career mode is important for a boxing game, but it should NOT be their focus for fnr5.

I would say gameplay is priority for all of us.Poe is an advocate for realistic boxing videogames.Comment

I do have to say that the second title update did greatly improve offline, while it made online even worse.online was screwed from the start its really hard to have a online boxing game that gamers will like.it seems that most gamers\casual boxing fans seem to think that EVERY bout is like a slow game of chess, but they couldnt be more wrong.sure there is going to be some slow,.boring fights but thats part of the sport.there are slow, low scoring football games, same goes for hockey.and baseball is slow ALL the time lol!Comment

It's mostly annoying gimmicks like haymakers and stun blocks that hold the gameplay back...I figured with a completely new team they would finally dump all of the ******** kudo innovations every fan has been complaining about since 2004 but I was very wrong...EA has made it clear with FNR4 they love their gimmicks and this stupidity will always plague us...So it's either live with our gimmicks or buy another boxing game...
Hopefully they address the footwork which is the biggest fundamental flaw FNR4 had...We want boxing in a boxing ring, not boxing on ice...Take the ice skates off and put some weight on the fighters...
I would also like for them to remove the stupid points corner game or at least give us an option to turn it off...It serves no purpose other than adding another arcade element that is unwanted...Stuff like points rewards for full health and stamina have no place in a boxing sim...
Last bu not least the AI needs to be completely reworked...You know the AI is horrible when you fight JCC and he throws one left hook to the body in 5 rounds and spends all his time ice skating away from you...Comment

but i dont think that casual guys play slow..i think thy're in a rush to get the knock out ...not too many people play to win rds online.. i also like the fact that i can drag a game out just to purposely punish my crabby opponent... unless they hit quit or somn
with that being said i value Fn4 because im hoping that what they have brought to this game was only the beginning of improvements.... i dont expect 100 % sim ( its a business y'all, they'll never do that) but i do expect more better quality gameplay....along with the realism...
nice graphics? cool!...a great with nice graphics? much better!Comment

I'm very interested to see how EA's MMA career mode is.
It should be a good indicator of what we can expect from Rd5.
Does anyone know if the same developers who worked on Rd4 are working on MMA?
Or have the Rd4 dudes been working on Rd5 for over a year now?Comment
