I checked the IP address of the person that posted it first, and it seems to be a Hawaiian based IP, so this is probably junk. Plus, there's no citation, and if Visual Concepts was really working on a title with all of those bullet points slated to come out this year, wouldn't they be talking about it through official channels already? One last thing, it doesn't fit the rest of the page. The sections are partitioned by console.

Yeah, the person that posted this is from Hawaii......what does that have to do with what's posted on wikipedia? He's actually a Senior Moderator on the EA forums. He only posted what he found. Me and him are always scouring the internet for information on another boxing game.

We are huge boxing fans and grown men who love sports games.

You're obviously ignorant to 2K's excellent marketing strategies.
Didn't you know that it's always best to promote your games 10 minutes before release and not one instant before hand?
Also, it's never a wise thing to talk about the game before or after release. That's just good promotional aptitude right there.

2K is one of the worst companies for marketing their games properly. No wonder the company's having issues.
NHL2K10 is a great example. It's a pretty good hockey game but you would never know it because nobody's ever heard of it.

That's why I wouldn't be surprised if this was real. Actually, come to think of it. It's gotta be fake. No way 2K would try to get word out about a game that's 10 months away.
It's all making sense now.

No, I wasn't speaking about the OP, I was talking about the person that posted it to Wikipedia. I'd assume, if someone from VC wanted to post this, they would be located in California, not Hawaii.

Well from what i have gathered, the ones i know basically told me, they have no knowledge of the game. I was told, if there was info about it, they would tell me. *shrug*

Still early though, we didnt hear about AFP2K8 until like 4 months or so before release.

Yeah, we could still hear something by the Fall.
Like I stated earlier, 2K is horrendous at promoting their games. I don't see anything wrong with saying "We're looking into a boxing game at this time" if they really were producing one.

If it's released November 20th, don't expect to hear anything until November 19th.

Just repeating what i was told. They have told me about a few games very very very early.

THQ did say they are working on a fighting game with another major developer. Could this be some type of THQ-2k project? THQ does use havok for UFC. Just putting the thought out there.
