So I've been wondering this for a while and hearing some of the commentary in the game, I heard quite a bit of mention of Mayweather by Teddy Atlas in one of his lines of commentary. So it made me ask exactly why isn't he in this game? Did he want too much money? If he's not in the game why are they able to mention him by name in it? I'd have really liked to be able to use a REAL Money in the game rather than creating the guy myself, but yeah, it just kind of threw me off that he wasn't in the game but they were able to mention him by name. I didn't think you could do that without having the rights to his likeness and all that.

I doubt its only about money...i think it 70/30 he wants to be they highest rated overall/money. He says he's the best of all time remember.

im thinking its like Jordan and Reggie Miller in NBA 2k10. They talk about them but they're not in the game. Example sometimes when i miss a 3 pointer on of the two guys say "He's no Reggie Miller"Comment

Boxing doesn't have a union or a players association. So EA has to sign each & every fighter to individual contracts. More then likely, he wanted to be on the cover and wanted a ton of dough as well.I dont remember there names but they were allot of fun....Comment

Yeah, he just wanted too much money. I think I read an article somewhere, months before the game came out, that EA had to decide whether to pay this huge sum to Mayweather or use it to get 4-5 additional boxers, and they opted to get more fighters in the game. I may not be exact on the number of fighters, though, since I read it a long time ago, but I am sure it was primarily because he wanted this insane amount.Al Bundy: Peg, we don't need insurance. I heard the same thing.
I have no problem with them making that decision, but I wish the CAB would have been a bit more robust so that you could create a better likeness of Floyd.
I still detest being capped out in points when creating a fighter.Comment
