They both generate lengthy discussions... they are both the most polarizing figures in fighting. They're the only two names worth talking about these days in boxing.

Very, very true.
Floyd Sr spoke with Eastsideboxing recently and he was going off on a tangent again on how no human the size of Pacquio could take the kind of punches Margarito was giving and not even flinching without steroids.
From the interview I really got the sense the entire Mayweather camp is scared to death of Pacquio. They see him as a monster capable of inhuman things in the ring. And to help little Floyd sleep at night, they keep believing he's on PED's.

I'm just as excited about David Haye Knocking out one of the Klitchko Bros. Can't wait for that fight.
He's my favorite boxer right now. He's like a Heavyweight Prince Naseem. lol.

If Floyd Fairyweather decides he's still on vacation from boxing. I say have Pac fight Mosley. That way when Pac knocks Mosley out and Floyd continues to duck him, we can say Floyd beat Mosely but he didn't knock him out.

For a boxer who punches wild.. yeah, most definitely. We would never hear about Pacquiao if he wasn't. There's a boatload of boxers out there who throw wild and never quite made it to the limelight. Hatton, Katsidis, Diaz just to name a few. Who leave themselves wide open for shots, and has certainly paid the price in their latest fights. Now those guys are wild and inaccurate.

Both fighters generate buzz and both have a large group of "haters". The guys are linked to each other.

If you mention one guy's name, then you're gonna get a bunch of posts mentioning the other guy's name. That's just the nature of it right now.

Very, very true.
That's why I think if these two do get it on, we'll know the outcome after a round or two.
If Floyd's speed trumps Pac's and he's able to make him hesitate, then it's over for Manny.
But if Pac is able to walk through those counter-punches, or even outspeed Floyd, then I think we'll see the end to Floyd's undefeated reign.
But we should know the outcome fairly early.

PBF is a slow starter.
He tries to get a feel for his timing (or the opponent's timing) down.

I think his last few fights (except maybe the Marquez fight) he probably lost the first few rounds as he tends not to throw much.

Obviously Roach is a mastermind, so he would expect that and would gameplan for it.

or how about who has he beaten that Floyd hasn't or wouldn't have beaten? Floyd would have picked apart Margarito and won a decision over him, Floyd would have dominated Clottey, Floyd would have picked apart Cotto, Floyd beat Oscar (first) and Floyd beat Hatton (first).

Everyone goes nuts about Pacquiao beating bigger guys but for him and Floyd its not about size its about their speed.

Styles make fights and for my money, Floyd is the best counter puncher alive. A good counter puncher is worth its weight in gold. We just saw a fighter with a great chin get KOd this weekend because of one.

It would be a lose lose situation if we saw JMM/Pac for Pac. What exactly would he gain from that fight should he win?
