Friday Night Fights?? Visual concepts. Any Truth?

This could be nothing but this game is mentioned on the wikipedia page for visual concepts. I know to be skeptical but wondered if there was a grain of truth there.

2K will not confirm or deny it's being made. I asked someone who works for 2k.

doubtful, I don't think 2K will be greenlighting another boxing game anytime soon after the disaster that was Don King's Prizefighter

I think 2K would invest in making another boxing game. Don King's Prizefighter was made by Venom Games(Rocky games) an outside company. Visual Concepts would do a better job on a game.

Visual Concepts is under 2K's banner and they have stepped in before to make better games out of failed attempts.

....and like I said before one of the producers who work at 2k said he can't deny or confirm a game is being made. I made him aware of the Wikipedia post and it hasn't been removed by 2k.

What is this implying that they would do an ESPN FNF type game? Wouldn't that mean Joe and Teddy would be gone from Fight Night, and not just that but ESPN is already there with Fight Night.

I'd welcome a VC based boxing game, but they need to stick with it be consistent. FN may not be perfect but they are in the right direction for a boxing video game. It's going to take a strong showing to pull consumers from FN.
