aspect of career mode that better be changed

Authentic fighters initial ratings and progression. I was tired of seeing Gatti with 99s in every category.

The ratings for boxers in play now should be their ceiling ratings, not their base rating when it comes to the career mode.

Also more customization. I hated how everything was randomized. The user should be able to set everything up, including which boxers are present (including their age), which get added down the road, etc.

This is so true. During career mode they should definitely cycle in players throughout the career. I don't want to see every fighter I'm imported already in the game so that by the time I make it to challenge for a title, all the other great fighters are 35 or so. They should also program it in so that there will be young up and comers to challenge for a title once you've won it so that you're not stuck fighting the same five people every fight.

And yes make real boxers ratings have a ceiling so that when I fight them, if we know the real fighters we have some clue what to expect as far as strengths and weaknesses once we fight them.

Maybe they can do like Madden and create lets say 200 fictional boxers for each weight class. Then they can have there own backstory, rating ceilings, and personalities. The only drawback is, it won't feel as random if you replay a career at the same weight class.

Lets say my boxer has a fight on an undercard, I would like to fight as other boxers on the card as well. This would allow us to really control our careers.
