I don't see Williams career on the ropes. He is still reletively young and can improve. We have seen fighters in recent history refine their skills (pacman, gatti come to mind). The issue is that Williams needs a new trainer, as his original handlers have done all they can for him. He can benefit from some simple adjustments like keeping hands high, feinting to draw opponents in and stepping back using his height. Thses are all things that can be imrpoved with a new trainer.

I'll give him props from beating Margarito in a close fight. A split with Carlos Quintana? Verno Phillips? A rusty over past his prime Winky Wright? A controversial decision vs. Martinez? A MD win in a strange fight vs. Kermit Cintron in which he looked less than impressive. I just have a feeling Martinez will be at another level and won't leave it in the judges hands.
I don't want to say I told you so, but I told you so. Martinez is a much better boxer than Williams. Williams is a freak for the weight division and throws a ton of punches. What else does he have? A good jab? No. Solid power? No. He doesn't use his height at all. He slaps his punches. As I mentioned before the fight. He was so overrated as the #3 P4P.

Well P4P isn't this set in stone metric. It changes, it goes up and down based on fights. Up until that point, Williams was the #3 guy based on what he had accomplished (beat Margarito prior to his suspension, wins at 160 and 154). He was willing to take on any and all, and for that i respect him. I even give him props for how he handled the loss this weekend, admitted he got caught and did not claim a 'lucky' punch like some said earlier.

Before they fought the second fight I was hoping Martinez would beat Willams, so now that he did knock him out. I wanted to just express that I was happy martinez won, and that williams defense was exposed.

NBA2K is the standard of sports games period.
