Marquez vs Katsidis was at times just amazing to watch (especially R3-8). I had Marquez favored, but I a part of me believed Katisdis's pressure may crack the Marquez and his 37 year old legs. Nope, did not happen and Marquez's sharp combos and durability wins yet again. (Marquez has been fantanstic and overlooked by many casual fans for to long).
Berto vs Hernandez bout time Mr. Berto. Nice right to KO a tough rugged dude like Hernandez. I hope he stays busy and gets back in the ring within 3 months. He needs work, but the gifts are there.
Caballero vs Litzau the judges finally got one right. Litzau fought smart at times, but was just bigger/better fighter on this night. I had Litzau winning, but I believed he was gonna screwed over.
Abraham vs Froch I thought this would be much closer, but Froch was hands down just better and much bigger man. I am not sure if it was just a bad style match Abraham, or the blueprint to beat him is out. Myself along with the majority of boxing media had him favored.
Personally I had the super six going like this (of course a lot has changed):
1. Abraham
2. Kessler
3. Ward
4. Froch
5. Dirrell
6. Taylor
Ward vs Bika it was for me an enjoyable rugged match, with some good and at times sloppy exchanges, but Ward (starting to really get excited about him) just makes adjustments and wins. The sky is the limit for Ward and I can't wait for his fight against Abraham.
What a great weekend as you can see.
